Got a sample bottle of this, never had a Norwegian beer before. Give it a try.
Pours a golden yellow with nice chunky white head that disapears before you turn around with no lacing. Very disapointing in this aspect. Smells like a solid pilsner, very malty. Taste is very crisp and clean. Nice malty taste up front with a late emerging bitterness that rounds it out well. Very smooth beer, light bodied and well carbonated. Not bad, not all that amazing, but a solid offering none the less.

Crystal clear pale straw with lots of assertive bubble action and just a skim of white for a head. Aroma is grassy with sweet grains, light hops, and just a hint of skunk. Taste is a bit wet. It cracks with dry malts but then lets short, lacking a dry finish. The hop presence isn’t as big as I would like either. Not too bad overall though. Very drinkable.

12 oz brown bottle with a "best before" date on the back label.

Perfect clarity with some bubble action going on, decent one finger of lace. Typical aroma of grassy grain and musty cheesy hops. Fluffy mouth feel with a semi-astringent bitterness from the hops and grain. Odd malt sweetness does not play well against the hops. Crispness is lacking, and the malt character just doesn't seem fresh. This is not just up to par with the rest of the Euro-lagers.

11.2 ounce bottle, that has best before dating on the rear label. Pours very clear and very light yellow/amber. Minimal white head and no lacing. Nose is almost nonexistant. Light, semi crisp pilsner. lacks the hopped for dry pilsner hop kick and grassy aromas. Easy drinking and thankfully cheap. Fine brew on a very hot day only.

Gold-coated straw with a modest snowy cap.
Hollow, dry maltiness and dead herbs on the nose.
Begins the cracker like maltiness of many a good pils. This, however lacks the authoritative dryness many of those provide. On the other hand, this is miles from any notable sweetness - sure, some red apples are noted, but they are more crisp than anything and flee quickly- it's mostly just "there". Ends with a meager herbal hop snap.
Vacated in structure, and only a notch or two above watery.
Overall, this is mildly flavored. Not bland, just lacking definition. It's certainly drinkable, but that's about it.

Presented in a squat 330ml green can with lots of Norwegian on it. Pours a golden straw color topped by plenty of slightly creamy, slightly fizzy white head. Aroma of adjunct malt, crisp lager yeast, a hint of Noble hops, and just a whiff of cooked vegetable. Palate is mellow and a bit sweet, pretty pleasant for a Euro pilsner. Finish is dry with just a bit of bite from the hops. Body is smooth and slightly creamy. Not a bad offering.

My first Norwegian beer!

Pours a clear golden yellow- not dark, with medium-sized bubbles in a head that fades quickly. Aroma is somehat better than a standard pilsener- clean and refreshing grains, light scent of summer fruits. No obvious off flavors, adjunct flavors (good, because the label says it is brewed in accordance with the German Purity Law. The flavor is clean and refreshing, mostly grain profile with a slight hops tingle working around the edges. There's not much else goin on here. In summary, a decent brew, but nothing that grabbed me.

Pours brilliant light gold and forms a 2-inch white head, that starts to settle pretty soon, leaving pretty Belgian lace. The nose is sweet malt, with a very faint suggestion of hops. It has a medium-light body with medium carbonation and a slight bitterness towards the front of the palate. After a few sips, the head has dissipated. For a Pilsner, the hop is low both in terms of bitterness and aroma. The body is very light and the lingering is short and mostly sweet malt and butter-notes. I find it refreshing but neither exciting nor surprising. That is, there is not much to contemplate, but it is easy to quaff. On the 0.5 liter can can they say it is their pride!

Pours a clear golden beer, as a Pilsner should be.

Smell is sweet and bready with a very spicy hop scent. Strong malt scent and the odor of herbs from the hops. This is a very pleasant smelling brew.

Taste is a bit of malt and spiciness from the hopping but not as strong as the scent. Mild bitterness but not at all harsh.

Mouthfeel is OK.

Drinkability is this beer's strong suit. This is mild and tasty but not at all harsh or fatiguing to drink.

This was a clear yellow lager with a half finger head that dissipated quickly, with no lace. Purely run-of-the-mill.

The aroma was of barely skunky hops, a little acrid, and a little malty, with some graininess overlaying it all.

Flavor was of crisp medium malts, with a little hop bite, but slightly metallic and grainy.

Mouthfeel was thin, with that metallicy taste kind of setting up a tang on the back of the tongue.

I was not impressed. It was OK, but not worth hunting for.

Hansa Pilsner….in a can from a local convenience store in Bergen, Norway.

Appearance-large white head, pale lager style body with a cloudy yellow color in the glass. Head disappears quickly.

Smell-small amount of hops find their way through, alcohol as well a light touch of grain and malt backbone

Taste/Mouthfeel-light mouthfeel, refreshing at first as the light body comes with some light hop flavor, doesn’t follow through though and becomes watery on the way down. Carbonation is ok, smoothness one would expect, no metallic flavor seeps in, which is good. Not much else here.

Overall-inoffensive, flavors do work and this beer is refreshing, but there isn’t much behind the façade and that keeps it from being truly something to recommend. Better than it’s many competitors, but not great.

Bright gold color, with a medium white head that fades quickly to a small layer of foam. Smell is nice and malty, and surprisingly good hops in the background. Taste is slightly metallic throughout, but is a good example of a pilsner. Well-hopped with a strong malt background. A good beer from a country I never thought of when thinking of beer.

Pours a two-finger white head that stays leaving a good lace. Clear pale amber color. Light carbonation. Faint malty nose. Starts light and sweet, finishes sweet with a hint of hops in the background. Would make a good summer beer. $1.45 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.
