A - Amber, of course. Golden bottom with a thin white head.

S - Dry hops and a tartness to the nose. Fresh and floral.

T - Floral and grainy, this beer is a standard amber with its hop character. Light and lightly spiced with a touch of dryness and fresh hop sweetness. Faintly bitter, with an overall light taste.

M - A clean mouthfeel for this beer, with a slightly drying end to this light bodied brew.

O - A standard amber ale, but pretty light and nothing that stands out for me here.

Served on tap at the Triumph brewpub in New Hope. Had in a tasting with all other beers they had on tap that day. The amber ale is surprisingly quite hoppy. Almost to the extent where I might've guessed it to be an ipa or a red ipa. The color is a nice sort of dark auburn. Aroma is quite hoppy, but nice and quite subtle. A more-floral hop. Again, quite subtle, though. Flavor is also somewhat hoppy though restrained. Mouth is a good, full-bodied feel with crisp carbonation and a clean finish. Its quite mellow but still flavorful. very nice.

This Amber Ale was on tap at the Triumph in New Hope around 8/6/2008. I served it in a Brooklyn Brewery Imperial pint glass.

This Triumph beer poured a dark amber (who would have guessed?), but this amber had a small tint of copper mixed in with it. The head of foam was an off white color and about 3/4 of an inch in height. This head of foam had good retention that left behind a small off white colored film and streaks of lace around the glass. Nice appearance! The aroma was light, but it wasn't lacking anything. The aroma was light with grapefruit, a touch of yeast, some lightly toasted malts, and a splash of lemon zest. The taste was lightly malty with toasted malts, a hint of grapefruit, a touch of yeast, and then the taste finishes up on the bitter side with a small taste of dried bitter floral hops. It's a light bodied beer with a malty and yeasty aftertaste. There was no other flavor in the aftertaste. Not a bad beer at all. It was nothing short of being a good brewpub session beer. I wouldn't mind another one of these.
