Best beer on tap the day we visited new hope. (Better than IPA and much better than the supposed Belgian Dubbel.) Skunks quickly in sunlight, so shade while drinking on the deck! Good fresh hop aroma and flavor, nice pilsner malt flavor, dry finish, hazy straw color. Nice hoppy flavor and aroma for a "blonde." I can't believe I ordered a "honey blonde": sounds like some crap on the shelf next to Zima. But it was fresh and tasty. I guess the honey was there, we'll see if it gives the mead post-drink headache...

Triumph "Honey Blonde".
Triumph's notes:
"A clean malt flavor is subtly accented by local wildflower honey"
Appearance:
Pale olive oil yellow with some minor bubbles from carbonation. Head is snow white and puffy, but quickly deflates. Minor lacing
Aroma:
A light honey is actually the predominant aroma, followed by some sweet malts.
Taste:
Sweet maltiness is moderated by some bitter hops. The touch of honey adds a nice rounded feeling. Overall it's pretty one-sided, but the "honey" part is really a lot more pronounced than I would have expected -- this is a good thing as it give it a little character.
Mouthfeel:
Really thin mouthfeel but not watery. Carbonation is of medium strength which is alright.
Drinkability:
Pretty drinkable. Gets boring quickly though.
