Enjoyed during my first visit to the Triumph Brewing Company in New Hope, PA. Listed on the menu as a English-style pub beer, served at 50-55 degrees from the cask. I believe the ABV was listed at around 5%

Served in a Triumph pint glass

A - Beer arrived as promised with just a slight chill and a super dense, foamy head. A dark amber-brownish color, mostly opaque. Good amount of lacing left on the glass.

S - A malty, bready aroma

T - A beer that is a mixture of sweet malts with a slight bitterness from the hops. A slightly roasty taste as well. You could easily have a few of these in an evening. Not heavy at all. As mentioned the ABV is quite low so the alcohol is not noticeable at all.

M - A thin to moderate body with low carbonation.

O - A decent beer but nothing that is awe-inspiring. I enjoyed it since I like trying all the different brews offered at a brewpub. On my next visit I'll try some of the other brews on the menu.

Cheers!

Poured out of the cask a very nice, slightly cloudy medium amber with a fluffy, creamy head that is parchment in color. Not much lacing, but it is probably due to the overall smoothness of the beer. The aroma is subdued, but very nice. Malty and bready with nice smooth herbal hop character as well as some toffee notes. The flavor is similar with plenty of malt that is balanced well with the low bitterness and English hop character. There are some nice caramel malt notes in there as well as a hint of lemon grass. It has a wonderful mouthfeel that is super smooth. It is medium bodied with a slightly sweet finish. This beer would be great to throw back while catching up with old friends or watching sports. Not the most exciting beer, but the mouthfeel and drinkability make it a good choice. I am so glad they brought back the hand pump!
