Minor head but nice streaks of lace. Naturally cloudy with a lemon gold color.

Powerful malted wheat aroma. The banana is in the background.

Watery with a higher carbonation level. Outside of that, the beer packs in the flavor. It features a predominately wheaty taste with a bit of fruitiness.

A solid beer with great taste. First taste was from a can at Target Field; bought a 4 pack later for home enjoyment and was not disappointed. The wheat really shines and the chewy feeling is great. Definitely a must try for the craft connoisseur!

Look: cloudy pale orange, large billowy head, thick lacing. Aroma: full on banana, a little cloce, some lemon. Taste: more banana and lemon with faint clove notes. Finish: short and light. Mouthfeel: on the lighter end of medium bodied with a nice chewy texture. Comments: great example of the style. It gives Schell's hefe a run for its money, and reminds me why I should drink more hefe.

Even though they have a krystal version this one presents a lot like one too. Only slightly cloudy and really crisp and sharp like a lager. A bit of tartness at times and not having a fluffy soft feel, and again instead more clean like a lager.
Good banana and clove flavors but seems to have a little less wheat than some others. Aroma does carry a good amount of wheat. Some dryness on the finish.
Solid all around.
Kinda' fun to have hefe in the middle of a nasty cold streak (going on several days not getting above 0).

Tasting notes from 10/24/17
Had on-tap at Stone Arch at the Minneapolis Airport in Minneapolis, MN

Appearance - Served in a tulip, hazy and straw yellow in color with a thin, consistent layer of suds atop. Some broken lines and a handful of spotting makes up the lacing.

Smell - Aroma is strong banana with a hint of spice. Strong wheat undertone.

Taste - Follows the nose. Banana upfront with a touch of clove spice, but the back-end is dominated by an emerging wheat flavor. Ghostly trace of bubble gum. Slight lemony bite on the finish.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with bitey carbonation. Easy drinker with a touch of chalky texture. Smooth finish. 4

Overall - A commendable US made hefe. Doesn't quite hit all the flavors you'd expect (bubble gum is mostly absent), but I'm enjoying it moreso than the sum of all it's parts, or lack thereof.

Thoroughly hazed, pale golden color, beautiful ivory head, leaving lace behind.

In the nose: Straw first, then comes the fruit. Banana, citrus, then a little touch of clove. Light, airy, lovely. Just right.

In the mouth: slightly sweet, fresh and refreshing. Smooth wheat malt texture. Light bodied and quaffable. Spot on rendition of the style. Hefeweizens are great summer satisfiers for sure, but they are terrific drinks at any other time as well. And this one is quite tasty. I'd rank it among the better locally made versions, hands down.

L: hazy straw gold under a 2" lacy white blanket of foam with good retention

S: banana, banana bread, a hint of clove, spice and a trace of juicy fruit bubble gum

T: The flavors follow the aromas with a little more wheat and fruit character

F: This is a very creamy, medium full bodied beer with medium high carbonation

O: the beer is very sessionable and worth repeating

From a 16oz can:

Appearance: Pale yellow, only a bit of haze, good head.

Smell: Nice banana aroma, some clove.

Taste: Moderate sweetness, good banana flavor with clove and lemon in the finish.

Overall: Picked up a 4 pack from this local. A nice hefe, easy drinking and balanced flavor. I like a little more banana in my hefes but this one is close. It should probably be a little more hazy but I'm picking nits. Good beer!

This beer is a beautiful example of the classic German hefe style. It's bubbly like champagne, it's like eating banana bread, it's creamy and super pleasing in its mouthfeel. Look out Weihenstephaner! You have competition in Minnesota of all places!

Great aroma pops right out: banana, cloves, a bit of a faintly sour-ish bite. Slightly hazy golden with a tall white head, creamy, receding relatively quickly with half-hearted lacing just above the head, receding down with it. Did I mention? Great aroma. Body is a bit thin. Banana and cloves in the taste, no bittering to speak of, but the finish is tangy or sour, as was hinted in the aroma, giving an impression of being a bit too sour. Tart is expected, but the finish is too much.

Tap at the Beacon Public House. Poured a cloudy, yellow color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of banana, clove and wheat. Banana dominated the flavor profile with some wheat in the background.

L-Impressive glowing cloudy yellow/gold....perfect pillowy head...

S-Light banana, vanilla, cloves....cloves are slightly more assertive...

T-Nice underlying banana notes as well as a nice punch of cloves...

F-Carbonation is pretty much spot on. Light side of medium bodied...feels about right,..maybe could be a bit more rounded..

O-Nicely made hefeweizen with a nice balance of banana and clove esters.....certainly not a sweet banana/vanilla bread type version....this is more balanced and very refreshing.
