Pours a somewhat cloudy, but not at all opaque light golden color. Thick frothy white head lingers for a moment before collapsing in on itself. Lovely looking pils overall although it does lack the clarity one would expect from the style.

Aroma has notes of white bread, grain, hints of lemon and a light spicy grassy hop aroma.

Taste has notes of lemon and a nice spicy herbal hop flavor with some grassy notes. Cracker malt backbone. Clearly falls into the Czech pils category and not the German - hits the main notes for the Czech style pils. As this beer hits room temp it really starts to blossom - the malts balance the hops a tad more and that cracker malt backbone starts to shine. A touch of sweetness, but not too much.

Feel is light to medium bodied. Semi-dry finish. Moderately carbonated. Easy drinking overall.

Overall this is quite a good beer. The clarity on the appearance is the biggest issue, but everything else is above average. I'd happily drink this on the regular if I had access to it.

Had on tap. Basic pilsener, from the golden pour with a white head, to the stereotypical smell and taste of pilsner malt, grains, lemon, and grass hops, it is your a well rounded czech pilsner. Exactly what you would expect. Feel could be a little cleaner, but it is plenty crisp

Pours a crystal clear bright light yellow with a white head that falls away quickly. Minimal lacing. Aroma is faint, noble hops and biscuit. Flavor is sweet, and follows the nose. Feel is thin and watery, could use more carbonation. Overall a drinkable beer but not great.

From a growler...perfect carbonation.....not as clear as it should be.....a bit of a haze to it....on the malty side for a pils which I actually prefer....nice bready, crackery malt base......a bit of lemony hops on the finish.

Very enjoyable....I guess I'd prefer a bit more Saaz hop punch but really this is well made pilsner that I am very much enjoying drinking.

From a stylistic standpoint the clarity would be the big issue in a contest but for just kicking back a few without getting into all the beer geekiness this is very good.

Pours a brilliant pale golden/straw in color, topped with a rocky eggshell white head. Excellent lacing.

Big blast of Noble (Saaz) hops on the nose, and otherwise a classic Pils profile with no flaws.

Semi-sweet with a nice sharp hop bite (bitterness) straightaway, along with a nice touch of grassiness through the end of the drink. A milder bitterness lingers, paired with some light biscuit malt notes, and more light sweetness.

At 37 IBU it won’t “wow” any old school hopheads or new school IPA freaks, but it gets the job done and has a very classic Pils profile.

Excellent drinkability.

Essentially this is a pils worthy of the name “Utepils”, and is worth a try if you
enjoy the style, and may be worth seeking out if you truly love the style.

Look: clear gold, bright head, nice lacing. Aroma: wet grass, biscuits, caraway, garden weeds. Taste: more caraway and biscuits, some grass but mostly in the background. Finish: wet grass. Mouthfeel: medium bodies with velvety texture. Comments: quite good. More toward the balanced side of the style.

Poured from a can with no date. Clear straw color with a large head. Heavy lacing is left down the glass. Herbal, grassy hops fill the nose. A bit of sulfur as well. At first taste I thought this was too hoppy for the style. But as I get to the bottom of the glass, I can sense the subtlety. Soft water, herbal, grassy hops, and the dry pilsner malt. It is heavy handed but still very enjoyable. Light body and lively carbonated. Easy to drink.

pours a clear golden yellow color with a fresh white head, not alot of lacing. A cracker bread flower hop smell some lemon and grass. Noble hops are missing here it does have cracker and some flowery hops with a bready malt finish. Mouth feel was not as crisp and pure as i like for the style. drinkable and tasty but would rather have a Budvar.

a nice pils, very classic in its flavor profile, and very drinkable. as well done as it is though, it doesnt really sing to me, and it doesnt come across as really anything out of the ordinary. minnesota is a really saturated pilsener market, lots of good ones out there, so i expected them to jazz it up a bit more to stand out and be competitive with it, although i think from a quality standpoint, it is well ahead of the curve. crystal clear, very carbonated, with a tall and lasting white head, it looks glorious, and it has a very fresh nose to go with it, clean light pilsener malt, grassy and floral hop, light citrus and earth, lager yeast patiently worked. the flavor is all of that, and the texture is nice too, maybe a little fuller than most, but i dont mind the substance. bitterness does creep up a bit at the end giving it a bit of a longer finish than most dry pils types have, but its subtle at most, and still very much in line with style expectations. i liked this a lot, and if it werent for their brilliant kristalweizen, i would probably have thought it was the best beer in here. good but generic in terms of flavor, nicely executed though for sure. these guys are doing some great beers already!

Moderately strong aroma of bread, grass, and herbs. Bright yellow, moderately carbed, 1/2 inch white thick-looking head with decent retention. Some strings of lacing. Nice bite on the initial taste. Medium body (for a lager). Strongly herbal taste with a decent malt backing, but definitely the herbal hops are front and center. Not very bitter in the initial, middle, or finish, but the aftertaste is bitter and herbal. Herbal throughout, even lingering into the aftertaste.

At the brewery, into appropriate glassware, pours a clear shiny light gold with a good head and good retention. Nose is a little muted, but some bread crust and some earthy and moderately bitter hops, with a little hint of mineral. The taste follows, pretty much. I'm missing a little more spicy zing that I expect from a czech style pils, but the finish does bring a little twang. Finishes fairly crisp and clean and nicely dry. Moderate to light body. Fairly good though a little muted in terms of its flavors.
