Notes: Fly to new flavor heights with a sip of this subtle hop and malt blend. This straw-colored brew gets its brilliant hues from barley grown near the city Köln, Germany.

Pours a light crystal clear golden color. Thin white head dissipates steadily leaving no residual head on top of the beer. Beer is light and airy in appearance.

Aroma has noes of grain, sweet bread and a touch of skunky grassy hops.

Taste follows the nose with notes of grain, bread, a light honey sweetness, a strong grassy bitterness on the finish. The grain flavors in this really are the predominant flavor in this beer. Its much grainier than the imports I've had. I want a bit more bready malts from this.

Feel is light, crisp, and supremely drinkable. Right on for the style.

Overall a solid but somewhat disappointing kolsch from Utepils as they have some outstanding examples of German styles.

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, medium golden color a neat and clean white head.
Aroma: Mild aroma. I'm getting a cracker biscuit malt with and peppery yeast. Lemongrass and honey, but not too strong. Subtle sweet orchard apple in the back with maybe some citrus.
Flavor: Flavor follows the nose, but it is subtle. A nice pale cracker malt is showcased well. Yeast and pepper that is palate cleansing so I don't get as much fruit as the nose. Still some sweet apple. Some Noble grassy hops. No bitterness. Very dry. No apparent alcohol.
Feel: Well-carbonated. Light and crisp. Peppery carbonation cleans the palate off completely. No residual sweetness.

Overall: A very mild Kolsch. The fruit is weak so it allows the pale, cracker malts to show. The high carbonation and palate completely clean it making an extremely light and crisp. I would prefer more of a fruity yeast flavor. Fits the style well and a well-rounded Kolsch, albeit tame. Not a Kolsch to seek out, but definitely appreciate that it leans light and dry, rather than a sweetened mess. This is so clean and crisp that this is a summer, lawnmower drinking beer that is 10x better than an American light lager.

Had on tap. Watery and bland. Slight caramel, wheat, biscuit, lemon, and grass make up nose, but the taste is watery lemon malt and that's about it. Low carbonation for style also sticks out, lacking big crisp note. Missed the mark on this one.

From the tap it pours a fairly clear golden color. 1 finger white head. The head retention is good. No lacing on the glass.
The nose is non existent.
Taste somewhat bland up front. It then becomes interesting. It has a light kind of earthy flavor. Hint of sweetness.
The body is light, as expected.
I am not the biggest fan of this style, but it is really tasting good.

Clear, bright golden color, slim, soon-gone white head.

In the nose: Hitting the right notes, apple and pear, nice and light and delicate, low bitterness, clean and lovely.

In the mouth: Light bitterness, lean malt body, crisp, clean and tasty. This is hitting it right where you want it. Sure to be a great summertime pleaser. Or anytime, really.

This may not be my top all-time local kolsch, as it's a bit too light and watery. There's not a thing wrong with it, otherwise. Certainly crisp and refreshing. Copacetic is the way to go.

This beer arrives a clear, bright gold color. The head is solid, and lacing is good. The aroma is bready with some spicy, grassy hops. It is a bit more hop forward than most traditional Kolschs, but not by too much. The taste is very bready, and biscuity with only a hint of spicy hops....very traditional. The mouthfeel is light bodied with a velvety texture. The carbonation is a bit low for the style, and with a Kolsch that is a big detractor for me. Overall, this is a good beer that I will drink again.

Very clear. Golden. Thin head with little to no lacing.

Biscuity. Clean.

Really nothing remarkable about this one, but nothing that would make me stay away. Will drink again.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, straw-yellow color with a small, fizzy, white head of foam. It smelled of hay, straw and sweet caramel. Nice sweet taste with a subtle grassy bitterness.

A-A couple fingers of white bubbly head that quickly recedes atop a clear light golden brew.
S-A very sweet smelling kolsch. Big bready malt, a candy sweetness.
T-True to the aroma. A very sweet beer. Got an apple juice quality to it.
M-Easy drinking. Smooth body with the right level of medium amount of carbonation.
O-Too sweet, but dang it's quite easy to drink and it has a nice flavor so it's hard to knock it too hard for being off what I'd expect for a Kolsch style beer.

Clear straw color. Nicely formed head. Aroma of fruity esters, bread, and peppery hops. I have to remind myself that this is a Kolsch and not a pilsnener so there will be some esters in the aroma and flavor. The esters give a bit of vinous quality to the flavor and the malt gives a bit of sweetness. Hops give some herbal and pepper notes. Feels just a touch undercarbonated for this light body beer.

Pours a clear yellow color with a white head. Smell was spicy floral crisp hops. Taste had notes of apple and grape with some crisp floral hops ,sweet bready malts. Mouth feel was crisp ,swet with bread malts in the finish. I like Kolsch was not a fan of this one , way to sweet.

Golden yellow. White head.

Bready and biscuit malts. Grassy. Not very citrusy or zesty like I prefer this style.

Crisp and clean. Nice feel. Light bodied.

L: brilliant gold in the glass, permeated by streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a 2" white foam stand with fair to good retention

S: light apple, cracker, hop spice and a faint hint of banana

T: Lightly sweet bread dough to bread crumb flavors and a hint of caramel lead the palate seasoned with apple, some spicy hop, and light fruit, moderately bitter

F: medium light to light body and medium carbonation

O: very flavorful, drinkable light session beer that is worth repeating.

Fresh, lemony, and biscuity aroma. Bright, clear, striking, glistening golden color with a thick white head, receding leisurely. Leaves a dripping lacing after each drink. Great looking Kölsch. Medium bodied, with the traditional Kölsch flavors coming through: grassy, biscuit, lemon, slightly sour, a very slight tinge of bittering. Well done and refreshing.
