Note: Season 3 (Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado)

A: Pours a murky almost milky pale golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + apricot colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy tropical/pineapple, citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, and tropical/papaya hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + oat + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + oat + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy tropical/pineapple, citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, and tropical/papaya hops along with a hint of resinous hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly leaving lingering tropical + citrus hops flavors.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a moderate amount of fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with extremely well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable with a very nice combination of tropical + citrus hops and a nice fluffy mouthfeel >I could easily enjoy a few of these and wish my wife had brought me more back from her last trip.

08/30/18 on bottom of can. Poured into a Duvel tulip.

A: Very hazy honeycomb with 1-finger of frothy off-white head with average retention and spotty lacing.

S: A lot of herbal, dank aromas but fades to more berry, orange and lime citrus, and melon and berry. A bit muddled with nothing striking a dominant chord.

T: Flavor is also a bit muddled with sweet berry and melon flavors fading to some lime and orange citrus. Malt doesn’t provide much additional flavor components. Bitterness is low-medium at most.

M: Smooth and easy to drink with low carbonation and soft, medium body.

O: DIsappointing for sure — I would try them again but only in a fresher can.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing down the sides.
S: Light aromas of pineapples and mango are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having stronger flavors of pineapples along with notes of mango and hints of grapefruit. A light amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied, a little juicy, and surprisingly smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer has a nice blend of tropical and citrusy flavors. It's almost like a smoother version of a New England IPA.

Thanks Greg!
Too many hazy ipas fitting this description lately, they are all good but not great. The flavors and particularly the hop profile are muddled and don’t pop. It tastes fine but not distinguishable —

Poured a cloudy yellow body with minimal head and no lace. Aroma is citric and earthy with a touch pine and grapefruit. Smooth with a touch of roughness thanks to bitter citric hops. Sweet, touch of malt heft, some grapefruit/minimal tropical fruit sweetness adds balance with clean finish.

Cloudy light yellow color. Light tropical fruit notes, but a very light IPA. No complex flavor at all, tastes watered down. Definitely not worth the $4+ per can retail.

A super balanced IPA in my opinion. Seasons one and two taste very similar, although slightly different. This is a more malt-forward IPA with some sweet and almost tangy hops. It has a good dash of pine in the nose and mouth. Overall super solid! Wish it wasn't so expensive, sometimes 4+ USD per pint.

Frothy and lasting head. It leaves good 3D lace. Cloudy with a light gold color.

Both juicy and earthy aroma. Light malt, fresh hop.

The flavor is more malty with a good creamy touch. The hop is subdued, almost sweet. The body leans rich with a higher carbonation. The finish is hoppy but not bitter. Overall, I get a very easy to drink, well-blended IPA.

From the bottom of the can: "02/27/18"

Appearance: This beer has a ton of carbonation which is visible from the get-go. The body is this opaque beige but there is an upside down shower of bubbles. The head is large and rocky which leaves a spiderweb of lacing on the glass.

Aroma: Even while pouring the beer from the can it just shoots out this fresh hop aroma. From the glass there is this really deep and earthy moss aroma mixed with mango, tangerine, and a faint copper scent. It has a very fresh hop presence which is refreshing.

Taste: It has an interesting flavor profile. It's a bit like peach with a bit of alcohol. There is a bit of grain but it only really shows up in the first sip or two. Each subsequent sip adds more of that peach character. There is a bit of a mango juice flavor to the beer as well. It has a very tropical vibe to it.

Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is very light with no real bitterness at all. On the tongue it feels a bit over-carbonated. The sip feels a bit thick but it finishes clean.

Overall: It is a beer that has great aroma and flavor but it doesn't quite feel complete. It feels like it could do with a little less carbonation and a little more bitterness. If you enjoy a light, fruity, American IPA that is made without any fruit, then overall I would recommend this beer. If you enjoy something a little more bitter then I would tell you to hold off. I would drink it again based on this can.
