Notes:
Brewed with German malts, hops, and yeast; this traditional German Lager is delightfully crisp and refreshing. Tettnang and Hallertau Mittlefruh hops, lend a beautiful German noble hop aroma. The abundance of German Vienna Malt and various German specialty malts give this beer an unmistakable German Lager quality. For this beer we use a lager yeast; meaning we ferment at a lower temperature for a longer period of time. After fermentation is complete, we then lager (condition) it for 3-4 weeks to let the flavors mellow out and blend together nicely.

This 12oz. can of City Lights Oktoberfest was gently poured into my City Lights pint glass. There is maybe a finger of off white foam over a hazy light amber lager. This beer is to hazy to observe the carbonation. The foam settled down after several minutes leaving plenty of lacing behind.
The smell is that of malts and a slight yeast note.
The taste is slightly sweet with just enough of a bitter finish to cut the sweetness.
The feel is surprisingly creamy and smooth.
This is an easy one to tip back and enjoy. Good job City Lights!

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange red with a small head. Smells of caramelized grain, slight fruitiness. Tastes of sweet caramelized grain with fruity notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.
