Had on tap. Creamy black pour with frothy tan foam. Smell is mostly cocoa and oat actually, which they clearly stated to me at the brewery it is not an oatmeal stout, go figure. Strawberry is faint in background, but lactose is decent on the finish of the sniff. Taste plays out the exact same way, leaving me to feel this is a milk stout trapped between an oatmeal stout and american stout body. Would be better conceptualized if leaned into one style or another. Feel is sneaky grainy within the cream, adding to the confused identity
