Jack's Abby masquerading as Springdale Beer. I'm guessing they wanted to jump on the hazy beer wagon but not really associate with their primary brand. Pours a homely muted orange color without much of a head. Aroma is a bit musty, dank. Taste follows suit, dank, resinous hops. Kind of a rogue beer, not really fruity like most NEIPA's but not old school at all. Admittedly, I"m not a fan of the style but it's an okay drinking beer. I enjoyed it much more the second time I had it.

An interesting looking ale. It appears like pear nectar. It's thicker in appearance than juice, and darker than orange. With a slow pour into a Spiegerlau IPA glass, this thing produced zero head, also unusual, just a few clear bubbles at the top. I can see the carbonation streaming up the bottom, skinny part of the glass. But once it gets the bulbous part it gets more sparse, almost disappearing.
The smell is not unusual. It's actually a bit generic. It's grainy, sweet, yeasty. No tropical notes that can be disdained.
The taste is represented by the aroma. It's dissapointing. This thing thing tastes like a bread bomb, but looks like a juice bomb. NEIPA's have their citrusy hop profile. Old East Coasts are earthy and dank, and West Coast has the grapefruit and tropical notes. This beer is noteless. It flunked.
The feel is thick, it stays on your tongue.
I would not purchase again.

From the can dated 11/20/18. Sampled on December 15, 2018.
This is an ugly looking dirty, opaque golden yellow pour. A quick lasting head. I know these NEIPA's are supposed to look juicy and pulpy but this looks like someone poured mud into the mix.
The aroma expresses sensations of tropical fruit, pine, and white bread dough.
The mouthfeel is smooth and around medium. It feels better than it looks.
A more forward pine and tropical fruit hop character can be found in the flavor with a fairly biting bitterness to end it off.

16 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON: 05 07 18 BEST BY 07 02 18" and sampled on 09 17 18
$5.99 @ DeCicco & Sons, Brewster, NY
Notes via stream of consciousness: So this can is old, thanks DeCiccos, this isn't the first old beer I've gotten from you. At least it was stored cold. It's poured a cloudy deep orange colored body beneath a short head of yellowed off-white. The aroma doesn't seem to have suffered any from a few extra months, and it's bright and fruity with pineapple, peach, and orange, as well as being floral, spicy, resinous, "dank", and piney. Wow, that's nice! I can only hope the flavor is just as good so here goes... well it's not, but it's still pretty damned good. I'm getting less pineapple but more peach, and some additional notes of mango, papaya, guava, berry, and melon. The floral and spicy notes remains as well. Impressive! The base is a simple, straightforward golden malt that's lightly sweet, and median bitterness balances it leading to a dry finish with lots of fruit and a soft note of resin and pine steadily fading away. In the mouth it's medium leaning towards medium-light and smooth with a fine-bubbled, median carbonation. Along the way I've noticed that the head retention isn't that great, and the lacing is quite limited, but the aroma is fantastic, and the flavor is quite good as well. Well worth seeking out!

Dated 7/28/18 on the bottom of the can (with a best by 9/18/18 under it), 13 days since brewing.
Pours an unfiltered deep orange/amber with less than a finger of sudsy off-white head. Complex nose; notes of candied apricot, gooseberry, wet leaves, slight floral, spiced orange marmalade, blueberry jam and portuguese sweet bread. A very welcoming and attention grabbing aroma. The taste however, does not live up to the hype of the nose. It muddles the notes of the nose in to an amalgamation of sweet, earthy potpourri and mixed tropicals + berries. I can still detect the florals, sweet bread and candied apricot distinctly. Smooth medium body for only a 6% brew, average carbonation. At the price point, I'll pick this one up again; I'm just bummed out about the change from smell to taste. Do they make a imperial version of this? I'd love to try it!
