Notes:
Humboldt Brewing company was founded in Arcata, California in 1987. They brewed the famous Red Nectar and Hemp Ale until 2000 when they moved the brewing process to Firestone Walker Brewing Company in Paso Robles, California. In 2003, the Humboldt Brewing Company stopped all operations and closed it's doors.

At that time, the majority of the employees formed Humboldt Brews LLC and opened for business in March 2004 as employee owned. In 2007 we had a major remodel to our building and revamped our menu to bring a higher caliber of locally grown food choices.

Humboldt Brews still serves Red Nectar and Hemp Ale along with most beers from the Humboldt area breweries. With 20 beers on tap, you're sure to find a cold beer you'll love. We hope to see you soon.

A little boring and stale looking inside, could use some more character, decorations and ambiance. I was visiting on an early Saturday afternoon for lunch so that could be why it was kind of slow. But it does look like it would be a good place to see a band. (they had lots of concert posters on the walls)

Quality was pretty good, quite a few locals, and some other nice Northern California beers.

Service was good, our server was quick, friendly and attentive. He also happily got me a sample of a brew that was new to me.

Selection was solid, 20 taps with a nice variety. But no real great standouts.

Food was quite good, had some very tasty honey chpolte wings.

Prices were fair, this is a place worth checking out if you are looking for a good meal and a brew in Arcata.

Although not a brewery anymore, this isn't a bad place to have a few. Seemed like a lot of locals enjoying themselves. I'm sure if I lived close by I'd fall right in line.

Had beer on tap, watched live shows and eaten multiple times each. They do not brew beer here!

Beer- 20 taps rotating. Highlights include a $3.50 12 oz pour of Mirror Mirror. Includes local beers, seasonal beers, and beers like Stella Artois (which they served with a lemon without asking). Great selection for the average beer drinker but not a beer destination. Once I got served a 14oz "pint" but they were really busy and I never brought it up. It seems they have a few 14oz glasses mixed in with their pint glasses.

Food- 1/2 pound burgers and other pub food. Depending on the cook, portions vary a lot. Worth the money. It is really loud during dinner.

Music- Great venue. Been on the guest list for most shows I've attended so that helped my opinion.
