Went to have lunch and enjoy the great beers that are brewed there, but unfortunately we arrived at 2 pm and the kitchen was closed. So we had a few beers before finding a place for lunch. And I'm glad we did! I started with Grove, one of the 'core' beers; this fantastic, fruity DIPA (8.0% abv) was one of the best DIPAs I have ever had. My companion, who enjoys lighter beers, had a Brisk, a dry lager (4.2% abv) which is one of the 'provisional' beers on the menu. Also excellent. I followed with a Plenty, a passionfruit IPA (5.5% abv) which was tasty but not at the same level as the Grove (admittedly a tough act to follow). We checked out the restaurant, flower shop & book stack before heading out for some food - no bar snacks or anything edible is available from 2 pm - 5 pm, which I think is a bit of a mistake, as we would have stayed longer if we had something to nosh on. Nonetheless the beers were worth the trip. Highly recommend!

Hip spot in downtown Raleigh. Went on a Thursday for dinner, a large line of taps along the far left wall, they had about 20 different beers on tap ranging from light lagers to an imperial stout. Excellent mix of choices with something for everyone. All the beers seemed to have a bit of a sour take on them which was interesting. The place was packed, the service was surprisingly prompt, and the waitstaff was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. It had an upscale dining feel to it and the food was excellent. Great take on an Americanized version of Dim Sum and some other Asian inspired food stylings. Worth it just for the food and the beer paired really well with the food. It's worth a stop if you can get a table.

Located near downtown, the bar had about 24 taps with a lot of variety and very good beers. The food was good probably the best at any brewery that I have been to. Worthwhile to visit when in Raleigh.

Unique brewery with pan-Asian cuisine. Brews are unique . . . one with peppercorn and mango. Another with fig. Where else can you get fried pigs ear and a Belgian quad? I had duck egg rolls, pork bao and crab fried rice.

Now this place was a special treat. A few friends and I were on an inter-state brewery crawl from Mississippi to Virginia. We crashed in Raleigh while visiting a friend. He recommended this place for a nice lunch before we headed out of town.
I looked up the place the night before while getting ready for bed. Brewery/Flower Shop/Book Store/Dim Sum. Wow! Wasn't sure what to expect.
It's safe to say, when we arrived, we were under-dressed in our super cool brewery t-shirts and shorts, but that was all in our heads. The place is beautiful, and we felt out of place, but no one made us feel that way.
The beers were great, the food was top notch(!), and the service was excellent. We tried a good amount of beers, but when we mentioned our brewery trip, the bartender poured some of his favorites for us, and really went out of his way explain the brewer's creative process behind the beers, and made our experience that much more incredible. I don't think I ate the rest of the day, since I overdid it on the food, as it was so wonderful. And I took a lap or two around the space admiring the creativity and thought that went into the design.
Our entire trip was planned in literally 5 minute intervals. Our visit to Brewery Bhavana proved that structure is sometimes over-rated; stumbling on a place like this was the highlight of my vacation. A truly wonderful experience.

This was a bit of a hidden gem, we were told about it by a friend who lived in the area. So we stopped by to check it out. The place has an interesting setup. to the left there is a bar and dining area, in the middle there is a bookstore and to the right you can buy cans and such. The beers were pretty good, anything ranging from Saison's to IPA's The food was mostly Asian cuisine which wasn't bad but just isn't my favorite. The service was great, the bartender kind of hooked us up when he found out we were on a rather extensive beer trip. Overall it's a very nice place, it's got a very upper class feel to it but we managed to fit in a little bit.

This is very possibly the most hipster place I've ever been to... and I've been to beer spots in Portland (both of em), Brooklyn, and Austin in the recent past. Thats not a criticism, but I think its accurate for this brewery/book store/dimsum restaurant/florist... The book store aspect was fun to browse while waiting for a table, the food was excellent, and the beer was both interesting and solidly made, I suppose the flowers were good as well? Genuinely some of the best chinese food I've ever had inside or out of a major Chinatown area. Didn't have a chance to try many of the beers, but they were creative enough that it was tough to choose and what I had was quite good. Service was great and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. It would be worth checking out for the beer alone, but if you are into this sort of food and/or anything else thats happening here you absolutely must go out of your way to experience this unique, odd, harmonious combination.
