This beer poured out as a nice deep red color with a cream colored head on top. The smell of the beer has some roasted malt aromas as well as some sweet caramel as well. The taste of the beer is much like the nose, the toasted malts and the caramel come through with a nice crisp hoppy finish. The mouthfeel of the beer was carbonated nicely with a decent body to it. Overall I found this one to be pretty good.

Bottle to glass mug.
The appearance was a semi-ruddy burnt orange to amber color with a small cap of trickling foamy head. Some messy lace.
The aroma had some toffee/caramel malts, nutty earthiness and leafy crisp woody/floral color.
The flavor leaned towards a slight crisp sweet leafy to nutty earthy character. Slight aftertaste of toast, nuts, toffee and wood.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt fine. Mild finish of nuts, dry leafy material, wood and toffee.
Overall, a fairly decent shot from an American brewer on an Irish red ale. I could down several more of these in a session.

Fairly basic red ale, not bad.

Red Sky is a clear coppery red with some brightness. Its off-white head starts over one finger but takes very little time to fall to thin islands atop the beer with some edging that puts down spotty lace.
The undertone is healthier than it is bright with woody sorts of fruits, herb and leaf with lightly toasty undertones. It's pretty basic, but interesting enough.
There's good crispness and smoothness in a light body that might barely reach medium. It ends up a touch thin just into the end but keeps up well into the finish.

A: Copper red, light haze, medium low carbonation, 3 fingers of light beige fluffy head.
S: Toasted malts, caramel, toffee, apples.
T: Caramel, toffee, apple skins. Light tannic tea quality as well.
M: Medium body, little carbonation.
O: Really well done. Picked this one up in Frankenmuth, MI, drank in New Hamburg, ON Aug 24th, 2014. Well done and to style. Went to the brewery in Frankenmuth, which is quite cool. The beer is fresh, to style, and worthy of drinking!
