16 oz can, not dated but pretty sure it's the most recent batch and around 2 weeks old

Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe

I have been pretty burnt out on this style, but this is about as good as it gets. It just tastes so similar to other hazy IPAs I've had from other breweries. Nothing special, but well constructed.

Edit: Lowered score after trying it with 4-5 weeks on it. Did not hold up at all.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on October 5, 2018. Brewed with Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe hops, pale malt, oats, wheat and lactose. Look is orange gold with a white head and sticky lacing. Smell is floral with hints of orange, pineapple, grapefruit and pine. Taste is citrus fruit and notes of lactose. Feel is medium in body.

A: Pours an extremely murky medium to dark golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate burnt orange + golden yellow + apricot colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall fizzy foamy white head that reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer with a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/tangerine, tropical/mango, and tropical/pineapple hops as well as light to moderate aromas of dank resinous hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + wheat + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel + lactose sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + wheat + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel + lactose sweetness. That is followed by strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/tangerine, tropical/mango, and tropical/pineapple hops as well as moderate flavors of dank resinous hops. The hops contribute a minimal amount of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving moderate to strong lingering juicy citrus + tropical hop flavors.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a soft mid-body and a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink and extremely enjoyable with well hidden alcohol. Amazing juicy hop flavors and aromas with just enough lactose sweetness. So glad I finally got to try this one and so fresh. Awesome beer.

Orange gold beer. White head that leaves large bands of lacing. Smells like orange, pineapple, grapefruit and pine with some floral notes. Nice sweet fruity flavor with citrus and lactose sweetness. Pith and pine finish. This is a really great beer.

CANNED ON 09/27/2017

Murky orange with a slim creamy covering that leaves heavy lacing on the glass. Juicy grapefruit, tangerine, mango puree, peach, and light pine resin aromas. Big hoppy flavor - leafy, oily juiciness. Grapefruit zest, mango, lemon, berries, light wood, and piney freshness. Medium bodied, creamy feel with a dry finish. A little more raw than the other IPAs from these guys - delicious.

Neon God looks the part: its pale gold, turbid body looks almost electric; the large, creamy white head leaves good, fine-grained lacing in the form of bands and ladders. The nose is big and beautiful: it leads with grapefruit, which is then joined by tamarind and hints of cannabis and spicy florals. Up front, the palate is moderately grassy, medium-bitter grapefruit with more subtle cannabis and a hint of tamarind. Mid-palate, the grassiness expands and the cannabis notes become more pronounced; both are joined by a modest lemon character, and a significant dryness is noted. The malt manifests only as a slight bittersweet nuttiness that fails to budge perceived bitterness. The finish is a slight hit of bittersweet tamarind, and is quite astringent and moderately dry; the linger is an assertive, resinous nutty pine bitterness that lasts awhile. Mouthfeel is commensurate with the light body, and is moderately astringent; the texture is slightly creamy, very slick and slightly peppery from the somewhat restrained carbonation. (growler, 8 days after kegging)

Pours a bright radiating yellow with a nice white head. The nose is loaded with your typical NEIPA juiciness, with citrus and tropical fruits. The Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic combination work perfectly together. The taste brings more juice, with pineapple, mango, orange and grapefruit all coming together. Overall, it's a good NEIPA and worth grabbing if you're in the area.
