Fine beer. Very fresh pint can, brewed last week assuming Julian dating on can's bottom. Poured a golden yellow with tasty foamy head. Pineapple and grapefruit on the nose. Good mouthfeel from the lactose but not too heavy. A solid enjoyable bitterness that we’ll complements the aroma and mouthfeel. A solid drinker at 6.6%.

Appearance: A bubble show builds a three finger head atop with cloudy honey colored liquid; good retention and a splattering of lace

Smell: Papaya, grapefruit and onion tones; you can smell the creamy lactose

Taste: Papaya forward with the grapefruit developing; the lactose is prominent; the bitterness really builds into the finish; some onion in the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; creamy

Overall: This is rather angular and I would prefer more tropical fruit but it has a good level of bitterness

Hopped with Mosaic, Cashmere and Citra. At 48 degrees pours a milky cloudy gold with a mixed bubbles white dome; long cap retention; heavy minus lacing. Nose is pineapple, grapefruit and orange rind; onion and lemon as it warms; and kinda cat pissy. Taste is oniony sweet tropical fruit juice with some citrus as a fallback. Medium body; moderate minus carbonation; no astringency; lactose fluffs up the feel, but not to the point of undrinkability. Overall, another NE IPA “wanna be” that I’ll struggle to finish because of the lactose feel, and the oniony nose/taste; yet another edition of cat pissy Mosaic doesn’t play well with other hops.

On tap in a 20 ounce mug.

Foggy whitewashed pale yellow color. A near 1F white cap fades and leaves lots of heavy lacing.

A fresh dose of pine aroma opens the olfactory senses. Next are grapefruit and mixed fruits.

Grapefruit is prominent. There’s a little pine, wheat grain, and lemon-lime citrus.

Light to medium bodied. I’m not getting the oat chew. Solid hop bitterness until the lactose take over for a sweet finish.

I could do without the lactose, which was quite prominent. A decent hop profile, however.

A: The beer is very hazy pale whitish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of melon, grapefruit and herbs are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of lime. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate
O: This beer is quite well hopped for an IPA - it tastes like it has the amount of hop aromas and flavors that you would normally expect from an Imperial IPA.
