Pitch black with a medium sized brown collar and webbing. Smell is straight hot bourbon with oak, molasses, and dark chocolate, which is great for the bourbon but not very complex. Taste is more balanced with the bourbon melding more into the molasses, brown sugar, dark chocolate, oak with plenty of vanillins, but the finish is again mostly booze heat. Feel is hot, thinning the body a bit, decently smooth all things considered. Would have again when in the right mood for a sipper without a lot of body

Pours black as an oil slick with a creamy deep mocha colored head atop that left a broken ring of lace behind.A mix of chocolate and bourbon/vanilla is very rich in the nose, booze plays a role as it warms a bit.Toast and bourbon hit at the beginning of the palate followed by dark fruit and a hit of chocolate/fudge in the back end as the booze kicks in as well. It's a sipper that's decadent and rich, one of the better beers of 2021 so far for me.
