Notes: Relax [it’s just a hazy IPA] embraces the new way to enjoy IPA - unfiltered, fresh and full of hop flavor and aromatics... without the bitterness to stand in the way of kicking back with a juicy beer. It features a combination of Citra, Centennial, Simcoe and Amarillo hops, imparting fruity, tropical and citrusy notes to complement the round, soft mouthfeel of a hazy IPA.

No date on the can, but I believe it to be between two weeks and a month old.

Pours the color of nectar, an opaque and dull tawny gold. Half-finger of white head fizzles out quickly, but the bubbles keep a fluffy cap at the top. Average lacing retention.

The citrusy fruit smells hit as soon as the can is popped open. Smells mostly citrusy, a bit of overripe tropical fruits in the background.

Taste follows along those lines. Citrus flavors, a little overripe mango, and a touch of melon. A bit of a bitter melon rind flavor lingers. Not much malt or alcohol flavor.

Full and slick in the mouth. Smooth and coating. Medium carbonation gives it a soft mouthfeel, but I can't say how it compares to the Nor'easters.

Glass is gone before I'm even done reviewing it. Easy to drink and tastes nicely fresh and fruity. I could drink another if I had one on hand, which I can't say about many of these hazy IPAs.

Can. Definitely pours hazy. Fun artwork too. This can is about 3.5 weeks old so it isn’t necessarily a spring chicken (an utterly insane but true statement). Aroma and flavor are overall quite modest. I think that’s more of the brewer’s intention instead of the beer’s age. I’m not getting that noticeable aroma and flavor breakdown here. Just a mellow, hazy ass beer. Relax, it’s decent.

Pours a turbid grapefruit color with a dense, foamy bone white head. Juicy tropical fruit notes, including pineapple and oranges, dominate the nose and the taste as well.

Just an old-school NE-style IPA. It’s been a style long enough that I can say that, correct?

Got in a trade with RaulMondesi. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 5/30/2018. Pours moderately hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance; and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.8%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA. All around great citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter finish. Great soft feel. Citra, Centennial, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. Not quite as tropical as I expected for that hop bill, mostly citrus/stone fruits. Very juicy, lightly dank hop complexity; great balanced malt backbone, mild residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

16oz can poured into a teku
Canned 6/28/18

A- pours a hazy and murky golden-orange color with a two-finger creamy white head that has great retention and leaves some lacing behind

S- juicy and zesty citrus and tropical hops on the nose; tangerine, cantaloupe, grapefruit zest, mango & white grape

T- zesty citrus with grapefruit and orange pith up front, along with notes of melon and mango. Mid-palate continues with more bitter zest citrus, clean and citrusy finish, with just a hint of toasted malt, lingers of citrus zest

M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a foamy, slightly murky dry finish

O- citrus-forward throughout, more bitterness than the east coast hazy IPA's, but good drinkability

Drinking Hazy IPA now. Out of a Frosty 19.2 IPA Glass of Superior Quality. Poured from a 16oz can.
Looks HAZY!! Copper Orange Amber
Smells Good and Piney
Tastes Awesome!! Super Fresh like being at the tap house. Very Piney up front and lots of citrus. Bitterness lasts on the roof of my mouth long after the sip /:swallow. This is a Great IPA.
Overall 4.5. Love it. It's my Go To Beer at Publix. Used to be Sweetwater but they have been slacking off on Hop Quality.

Pours pale, hazy, and bright, with a rocky soda pop head that goes fairly quickly. Initial aroma pop from the can is nice mango, but it isn't all that pronounced once poured. From the glass, there is tropical and citrus notes, but I'd like to have more. Taste also falls into that "nice but needs more" category. Tropical, a little dank, quite minty, and somewhat juicy, but not quite enough of it. Not to the point I'd say it is watered down, but it just falls short of being really good. Overall, nice but not top tier.
