This place is a wholesale distributor first and a retail store second. Kind of an out of the way location and I think they are only open during standard business hours. However, the service is great, the staff is knowledgeable and the store is clean and inviting, like a dealers showroom. The selection is good and bad. They seem to only retail what they wholesale. I didn't see any Troegs or Stoudts, for example. That said, they have a great selection of the breweries they do carry. And they don't sell any BMC, which is a plus to me. Prices seem reasonable. Worth a stop.

the selection in this place is probably the best i've seen from a distributer, lots of micro brews and mixed cases. to name a few victory, weyerbacher, brooklyn, smuttynose, dfh, river horse, and great divide. strangley enough i didn't see troegs displayed anywhere. at any rate this place was fantastic the service was great and (i'm assuming he was the owner) was very helpful. the customer service here was probably the best i've ever had. highly recommended if your in or from the area to stop by and check it out.

My life savior!

Kirchner's is awesome.

The only place to get micro brews kegs in the area.
They carry kegs of all the local brews. They charge the same price as the brewery and only charge $30 for a deposit.
Now the only place I visit to get a keg.

They don't handle Miller, Bud, or any other macros besides Yuengling. The way it should be.

They also have a nice selection of cases for very reasonable prices, if not the cheapest in the area.

I would recommend Kirchner's to anyone any day.

I believe they close at 6 so make sure you stop before work.

I started coming here a few years ago when I began buying kegs of Straub. These guys are the master distributors for Lancaster and I live somewhat close by. Clean place and the service is friendly. They handle Straub, Yuengling Sam Adams, Penn , Genny and some others. I think the selection is somewhat limited in terms of variety. It seems they mostly sell what they handle for wholesale but they do have some variety and some specials. When Straub Dark came out i called and asked for it. They didnt know about it but where happy to look into it for me and got me a sixtel on the next delivery from St Mary's.

I took a trip to Kirchner recently since they fill co2 tanks and had the chance to shop for few minutes. I was greeted quickly by both Andy and his son who are very friendly. I took some time to check out the selection which is at the very least better than anything you will find in the area.
They are well stocked w/ Samuel Smiths, Ommegang, Lindeman's and Local beers like Straub. They have an L shaped cooler which has plenty of cold craft beer and malternatives in cases w/ easy access w/ fridge doors. The Micro/craft selection is very good w/ Harpoon, ABC, Spanish Peaks, Great Divide, Victory and DFH to name a few. They even have glassware deals w/ cases and some lesser seen like Obolon. They have plenty of big beers from Weyerbacher as well as the variety cases of most crafts.

The places is clean, well lit, spacious inside as well as parking and the prices are easy to find and everything is labeled including a board w/ keg selection and pricing.

I can't say enough good things about Kirchner - they have cheap closeouts -15.99 on Weyerbacher and Harpoon, Shipyard. The service is excellent and I had fun just talking about beer w/ staff. I won't hesitate to drop in and pick up stuff here since it is practically on my way home.

Quality: Nice sliding door makes a hands-free entrance very pleasant. Awesome. Big place (although it seems small when you walk in). Very clean and organized. All the local craft brews are here. They do all the ditributing to smaller distributors and bars in the area. They have a massive amount of beer in stock at all times. Pallets and pallets of cases, kegs, and other stuff.

Service: They will order anything they can get for you. I made friends with the father and son, they helped me with my kegerator problems and are willing just to talk about beer. They know alot, but aren't familiar with the very eclectic stuff. They travel to DFH (which doesn't ship) and buy seasonal cases. I bought a case of 120 min. and the next week they got some Extra in. Andy showed me the storage and always tells me when they get hard-to-find stuff in. Always willing to talk beer with me.

Selection: Great. All the seasonals. Micros. Imports. Varieties. Kegs. Willing to order whatever they can. They have a 3L Corsendonk. Sixtels, 1/2 barrels, kegerator parts, Co2. Lots of cold and warm beer. Hardy's, Lindemans, Chimay, Ommegang (all in cases).

Value: On par with PA pricing. Go in a see if they have anything you need. It's worth the stop if you aren't from the area. Maybe you'll find something you like.

Visited the establishment on a Saturday morning. The owner was present and was very helpful and suggestive concerning the beer selections. The place was extraordinarily clean, probably the cleanest and most orderly beer establishment I have seen in this area. The prices were marked for every product and were at least comparable, and in many instances better, than prices at other beer distibuters in the area. I will definitely return.

Note : This beer distributer has been around for a long timne (close to, if not more than, 50 years). When I was growing up in the 60's they were located 2 blocks from where I lived. My parents always had beer delivered to our house by them. When I was talking to the owner (who is one of the Kirchner sons) and told him my parents name, he remembered our address, and what type of beer they drank, ever though if was 40 years in the past.

Local Victory, Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, Penn Brewing Supplier ( as well as many others) to bars and public. Whenever I feel a Victory urge I make sure i go.Ussually have all available Victory products in 1/6 and 1/2 kegs as well as bottles. Many more as well. Only open until 5pm Sat. Employees are very friendly. They ussaully ask what you want, But if you ask they will take you into the back into there massive cooler where you can browse there selection of kegs. Have even had the owner show me around and describe all varietys and brands of beer to me.

Wow. How GRAND! ItÂ’s a huge looking warehouse style building sitting at the top of the hill. As you drive up it looks like a big hardware store, for beer. When you enter, (not all that space is filled with beer) it is very spacious and welcoming. Extremely clean and finished, appearance. Not concrete and unfinished walls and floor like most distributors (they actually mop tile). Not that you would actually care about their floors when they have good beer. There is a large reception area to the right, and I was greeted warmly as soon as I entered the door. If I had not just been to Wheatland Distributors, I would have said this is the best selection in the area. As it were, I will say its the second best selection but it is the largest building. Well laid out. Shopping for the beer you want was made easy because they had the beer stacked on the floor (not shelves) in groups arranged by brewery. Then hanging above each stack is a clear list of the prices for each case offered by that brewery. For example There was a pile of Victory beer including Stormking, Old Horizontal, Hop Devil, Prima Pils, and a Mix pack for $25 (good deal)! The prices are the easiest to read, that I have seen in any distributor. They also had Penn Brewery, Dogfish Head Weyerbacher, and many more. Overall I thought the selection was the second best but the atmosphere was the most welcoming (grocery store-ish) that I have ever encounter in Lancaster County.

The only place I have found that will compete with this place on price is Chester County Beverage.

Hope this is helpful.
