The art and science of awesome. Somewhat of an anomaly, Doctor Lupulin is brewed with loads of hops but is not too bitter. A high ABV brew that is easy drinking without excessive alcohol heat. Is that mango having a pleasant conversation with dank? Yep. The experiment to create beer perfection is alive.

Clear, deep golden color. Medium-sized, white head. Caramel malt, resin, and citrus in the aroma. Balanced, with a hoppy taste and a malty backbone, leading to a strong, hoppy bitterness at the finish.

Lightly sweet malty aroma and flavor dominates any hop characteristics. Definitely leans malty with solid bitterness. An old school West Coast TIPA with warm honey sweetness. Full to medium bodied and smooth with a bitter hop finish.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 5-12-23 into a snifter.

Look- Medium gold, mildly hazy, frothy white head, average head retention and lacing.

Smell- Pine resin, dank, mango, clementine, between medium and high strength of scent.

Taste- Pine resin, clementine, earthy, mango, mildly boozy, high strength of flavor.

Feel- Between medium and full body, average carbonation, moderately mouth warming, highly bitter, moderately creamy.

Overall- Appearance was a very nice medium gold with mild haze. Bouquet was a great mix of pine resin, citrus and dankness. Flavor was very vibrant and a wonderful balance of pine resin, citrus, dank, mango and booze. Feel was more substantial than expected with a nice amount of creaminess and high bitterness. Overall this beer provided an outstanding drinking experience. This was a fantastic example of a West Coast Triple IPA.

A Tavour Treat. Pours a gold color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of grains and grasses. Taste is strong; very hoppy with an alcohol warmth.

Major alcohol burn, and this is the third beer from Revision (all bought at different places) where the cans were extremely old. I like this brewery a lot, but they need to get this issue figured out.

When I saw this one I didn't know what to expect. The balance in this one is really solid. You would think it would be really bitter but it wasn't. The look was clear orange with a small 1-2 finger foam head which disappears quickly. Aroma is tropical fruit with the feel lasting on your tongue. For a beer that is over 11 percent this is delicious beer.

Canned on 12/27/21; consumed on 1/26/22

Pours a clear golden bronze body topped with a finger of fluffy, off-white foam; average head retention fades to a few chunky mounds of cap, a large, creamy collar, and dense, wavy layers of webby lacing trickling down the walls of the glass.

Aromas open to an underlying dankness accented with cereal malt into conifer needles, and ruby red grapefruit pith; increasingly overwhelming floral sensations perfume boozy apricot to a glistening resinous tone on the close.

Taste features ruby red grapefruit meeting sweet floral perfume atop boggy, dank resins and a flakier cereal malt progression; fresh pine pronounced into the back end is edged with undertones of pithy white grape to finish.

Mouthfeel offers a medium-full body with  lower-end carbonation easing to a dense, almost syrupy texture cut with encroaching resins over the mid-palate and a punchy fusion of hop bittering and boozy warmth on the back end; a slick, quasi-juiciness presents in spots on a drying finish.

A boozy flex ingratiates itself to a resinous, dank overload, birthing an impressively attenuated malt sweetness carrying intense hop textures to a balanced bitterness and an airy, fresh flavor profile.

this one has been staring me in the face for awhile, but this abv has always turned me off, rarely do hoppy beers benefit from being this strong in my opinion, and its such a commitment, i just have never made time for it until now. glad i did, it comes in way ahead of my expectations, but maybe i should have expected outstanding from revision, their hoppy stuff kills it, so no surprise i guess, but its way better than most of them at this level, full of flavor, clean as can be, not overly malty or bitter, no hop burn, and a surprisingly well hidden abv in a lighter bodied offering for what it is, freshness kills it here too in my experience. i love this not being by nature a hazy, and its crazy how tame the bitterness is for this much hops. the malt seems simple, lots of it, but pretty pale, not even really much of a crystal malt richness to it, a hint of honey through it, and its off dry, but impressively minimal for how big this is overall. it seems to support the hops just fine though, and i have to imagine this is more dry hopped than anything else, peach and mango in the nose, floral honey, lemongrass, and sweet orange, stone fruit in the flavor too, a little of a sticky buds sort of finish and just a little alcohol heat, but this is pretty clean for the style, minimal fermentation character too, highly refined in a style that rarely is to this extent. i love the fruity slightly sweet hop profile and the lesser body. not nearly as intimidating to drink as it is to look at and consider, really well done!

I see what they were attempting to do but the execution fell flat. I had a tall boy of this and I couldn't finish the full can. It tastes like pure ethanol, kinda like hand sanitizer. The alcohol flavors so strong you can't enjoy the hops. If suggest you have Dust Bowls Therapist IPA, similar idea but much better execution.
