Notes: Collaboration recipe with Shoe Tree Brewing.

It's a simple universal fact that ninjas are badass. You know what else is badass? Revision beer. Our buddies at Shoe Tree Brewing kicked around ideas with us to develop this tasty, tantalizing, karate chop in your freaking mouth. Kaleidoscopic nunchuck hits to the dome with Citra, Galaxy, Mosaic, and Amarillo. Stealthily slaying your taste buds, one sip at a time.

Canned on 3/2, consumed on 3/10. Poured from a tall boy into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.

Pale, opaque, arylide yellow liquid lurks beneath a floral-white half-finger of fine foam, resolving to a lasting collar and thin surface slick; sandy lacing, average retention.

The aroma is preposterously dank with blueberry, tropical fruit, and grapefruit notes peaking through the resinous, marijuana/hash-like base.

Spicy, juicy flavor profile, again, suffused with marijuana up front with a cascade of mango, passion fruit, and berry notes fading into the medium-sweet finish. Bitterness is fairly low (40 IBUs) despite the intensity of the hop flavor.

Creamy, pillow soft mouth-feel with a faint bite to bring you back for another sip. Some warmth from the alcohol, and sticky on the lips.

Really unique IPA, certainly in the "NE" hazy/juicy style, but (perhaps thanks to the quantity of Galaxy?) above all, this is the most cannabis-like beer I've had.

A: Pours a hazy to murky pale golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the edges of the glass and moderate straw yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy bright white head that reduces to a couple of small patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, stone fruit/peach, citrus/orange zest, and dank resinous hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of bready + biscuit + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of bready + biscuit + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, stone fruit/peach, citrus/orange zest, and dank resinous hops which impart minimal amounts of bitterness which fade away almost instantly leaving juicy citrus + tropical fruit hop flavors lingering.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a smooth mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and very enjoyable. Refreshing with a really pleasant hop profile and I could easily have a couple of these.

Can dated 10/13/17 into a tulip glass.

L: Hazy golden orange with 2 fingers of pillowy medium density white head with good retention and left ringed/spotted lacing.

S: Very nice nose, but a bit mute. Plenty of melon and mango, hints of citrus.

T: Follows nose well, with slightly more prominent citrus. Finishes with mild bitterness and moderate astringency, hints of astringency linger.

F: Very soft and creamy, with moderate carbonation, slight tongue tingling from the carbonation.

O: Revision is easily rising up my ranks of favorite breweries. This is another solid effort from them, will definitely be grabbing this again.

Canned date 11/29/17

Appearance - Pours hazy and straw yellow in color with an off-white, finger width head. Good retention before dissipating to a mostly barren surface and a razor thin ring around the edge of the glass. Strong lacing, mostly sheeting that breaks off into broken webbing and small spotting.

Smell - Nose is moderate, with light peach, mango, citrus and yeast.

Taste - Soft, juicy character. Mild citrus and mango. Distant peach. Quick finish, lingering with juicy, slightly acidic character and very faint pith bitterness.

Mouthfeel - On the lighter side of medium-bodied with soft, tingly carbonation. Stupid smooth drinker with a quenching, slightly dry finish.

Overall - Nice, easy drinker, but flavor-wise it misses the mark set by the better NE-Style IPA's that are out there. I believe it may be Revision's first attempt at a hazy IPA, and it shows. Their latest releases have been much, much better.

After 173 beer reviews, this was the hardest for me.

A: pours a pilsner yellow, almost lemonade in appearance. Not a lot of flocculation you see with NEIPAs. Less than one finger of head, goes very quickly. Really nice looking.

S: I know this isn't a sophisticated word but this one smells DANK! This is like smelling jolly ranchers or life savers. Melons, lemons, oranges, kiwi, berries, pineapple.

T: Very much like the nose. Melon, lemon, tangerine, berries. The amarillo is really shining through on the aftertaste with that melon.

F: This is where we part ways. It finishes incredibly dry, almost like a champagne or a sour. Light body, and nice carbonation. I just can't get past how dry this is.

O: The smell, and taste are on point. The mouthfeel is where this went wrong for me. The lemon notes of Citra and Galaxy do not compliment the dryness at all. I'm led to believe it's the yeast and maybe a hopshot for the boil? It gives off the impression that you're biting into a lemon with it creeping in the back of your throat like an over possessive ex. It's a good looking man/woman that sucks in bed. I'm sorry, wont be getting this again.

Pale gold body with a faint haze, produced a thick finger of head that a left a lace ring around the top of the glass... Citrus and tropical fruit impressions are crisp and clean, with a moderate bitterness and sweetness... Light feel and clean, with an appreciable malt profile, suggesting dry cracker and biscuit-like impressions... 11/1/17 canning...
