Style: New England IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 8.00%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
We found an old mechanical hop picking machine in the fields of England, in the shadow of Stonehenge. With a lot of work, a modicum of sweat and a little monkey grease, the newly refurbished machine has been repurposed to deliver hop flavor to your mouth as efficiently as possible. Featuring a heap of citrusy Citra and mounds of mango-ish Mosaic hops conveyor belted on a base of wheat and flaked oats.

Can dated 12/08/17 into a tulip.

L: Hazy light orange golden with one finger of variable density white head with moderate retention and left some mixed lacing. Note second can a few days later had agglomerated grey chunks in the bottom of the can.

S: Very tropical nose, prominent peach, papaya, mango, citrus undertones.

T: Taste brings greater contribution from citrus, finishing with mild bitterness and heavy astringency, astringency lingers a bit. Becomes more juice-like once warm.

F: Medium bodied with lower carbonation, slight warming of the tongue from ABV and astringency, creamy.

O: Solid NEIPA, if the astringency was lessened a bit,l this would be top shelf for my palate and preferences. Happy I grabbed a 4pk.

Canned 12/08/17

Appearance - Pours hazy and orange-yellow in color with a white head that peaks at one and a half finger's width. Good retention, resulting in a thin, consistent layer of suds and a thicker ring around the edge of the glass. Broken webbing and spotting make up the lacing.

Smell - Grapefruit essence with hints of orange and mango.

Taste - Follows the nose. Strong, juicy grapefruit character upfront and throughout. Hint of mango and orange. Finish brings with it a prominent amount of pithy grapefruit bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied. Low, tingly carbonation with a sleek, velvety texture. Smooth drinker with a quenching finish.

Overall - If you like your hazy IPA's with that classic West Coast IBU bitterness, this is the one. Like drinking grapefruit juice with both the skin and pith put through the juicer. As I love grapefruit, I naturally am loving this. Hard for me to deny this one. I may have to pick it up whenever I can, much to the detriment of my wallet.

Sorry this beer isn't gimmicked enough for you. But to me, this beer was Julius meets Windy Hill. Excellent. My only request is a bit more carbonation.

Even with the hazy brew this is quite attractive. The lemon yellow beer is topped with long-lasting pure white foam in the Crooked Line tulip. Aroma is not so bold but so clean. Restrained fruitiness with a citrus tang.

Sweet and very sprightly in the mouth. Lighter body for the amount of malt. Smooth and crisp with plenty of light malty taste. Not really acidic, but it's not overly sweet. Somehow, the right balance. Flowery with a light mango taste.

In spite of the attempts of add grainy murk, this is an excellent DIPA. One of the most drinkable examples I've had. While it's less powerfully flavored than many, it is so suave and likeable. From the 16 oz can purchased at Krisp Market.

Dark yellow in color with hazy, unfiltered appearance. Poured with a moderate, creamy, bright white foam with very good retention. Medium high sweet fruit, fresh pineapple, and stone fruit aromas. Medium malty aromas with light boozy notes. Medium bodied with medium light carbonation. Silky, creamy smooth feel with pleasant boozy warmth from the middle to the end. Fruity an tropical flavors with pineapple and melon notes. Medium hop bitterness through the middle. Citrus notes followed by sweet fruit and malt flavors and boozy heat from the middle to the end. Finished semi-dryly with sticky tropical and light malty flavors. Juicy and tasty with a great feel. Mellow bitterness and booziness balances the sweetness. Very tasty.

The beer pours out a light golden yellow color, with a full on haze and 1 finger of off white head--------- the aromas are of in your face orange, orange zest, orange pith, mango and basil, the aroma is very nice----------- the flavors are of oranges, vanilla, grapefruit, mango and yeasty bubblegum, it taste like a orange and mango smoothie, the beer has a creamy full mouthfeel with almost no bitterness at all------------- overall this beer is amazing, so much orange going on its nuts, at moments I forgot I was drinking beer I thought it was a smoothie

Thank you CanConPhilly for this
16 oz can, dated 12/15/17, poured into a teku

A- A hazy golden straw with a two finger white head

S- Grapefruit, oranges, mango, tropical fruits. Complete juice bomb!

T- Tropical fruits, oranges, some grapefruit, touch of melons, mild dankness, touch of herbal tea.

M- Smooth, medium body, a little creamy.

O- A great example of a NEIPA. Smells like straight juice, not as juicy with the taste but very well done.

16oz can from the Boise Co-op. Pours out a hazy orange yellow golden color , bubbly head Fades to just a few bubbles on top. Big juicy Aroma, citrusy tropical . Taste is more of those tropical citrusy notes, slick and chewy, rolls right over the tongue, just wonderful flavors throughout. Nice and fruity, juicy. Not a big fan of the New England IPA style but this thing is really stellar.
