On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold color with white head leaving a bit of bubbly lacing. Nose is moderate hoppyness and taste follows ,surprisingly mild for the style and abv. This was 6th out of 12 beers I tried that day and had 3 stouts on deck with it. Wouldn't hesitate to drink again.

Bruised peach colour with little carbonation, and four fingers of yellowish head.

Smells of deep dank citrus with pinenuts and a hint of fruitiness.

The taste is of melon and oranges with a pine quality.

Medium body with moderate moderate carbonation.

I am drinking it in Redding December 28, 2019.

an enormous ipa here, burn is right! simcoe and equinox hops on it too, a cool combination for something this big, kind of a new context for equinox to me, and the simcoe combines really well with it. its clearish as they go, especially for these guys, brassy shiny orange honey colored from the tap, and holding its short white head well. it smells boozy right from the start, no hiding it at this strength, and its pretty intense. the hops are awesome though, i get what i think i know about both of them, and a neat candied orange and pine resin layer as well, one of the sticky dank ones the kids are talking about these days. the malt is somewhat mild in the flavor for how much of it they likely had to use here, its almost monotone in the conversation here, and in a lot of ways this is not a very complex beer, just a strong and flavorful one. the simcoe predictably kind of takes over as this warms up, but not before dried apricot, fresh peach, and juicy cantaloupe can be set in by the equinox. citrus bitterness and hot alcohol collide on the finish, and there is a pine sap intensity to the end as well, all real fresh, but man, this is mean! not sure how much of this i could drink, or would want to, a small pour already feels like a lot, but i have to hand it to these guys for continuing to push these styles. they do more hoppy beer than anyone is seems to me, and they are all so distinctive. mad props!
