We think about beer, a lot. Synapses firing, thoughts bubbling, ideas percolating in an ever-evolving quest to make somethin' super tasty. This beer was brewed with Citra, Simcoe, and a bit of milk sugar. We hope you enjoy our latest liquid thought.

Draft at Taphouse. Hazy, cloudy orange, small, silky head, lacing coats the glass. Aroma is fruity, citrus and stone fruit, a bit musty. Flavor has some strong pale malt flavors, sweetness, mild bitterness. Sublime. Thick mouthfeel.

Picked this up a few weeks back at the Bottle King in Livingston, as this was the first Revision beer that I've seen in this part of the country. Love the label but this sounded like something that would be from these parts and to a large extent, it was. There was just a bit too much sugary sweetness for me to rate it quite highly, although this was still a smooth and creamy beer!
Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was a hazy goldenrod with a nice head topping it off. No sediment was in it as the lacing left behind was concentrated in the middle of my pint glass with hints of deep, soapy rings in the middle. Lots of citrus flavors, orange blossom, tangerine cream, and dank hops in the nose as the lactose really came through in the taste. Hints of tropical fruit, peach, and creamsicle entered the mix as they drowned out the hops a bit too much, although this somehow worked out in the end. Light, plush, and easily drinkable, this wasn't a bad beer as much as it was just not balanced properly, although the carbonation and body were fitting for something an IPA like this.
The booze was remarkable well-hidden as I hardly tasted it and only felt a bit of it as I was finishing this up. Some light pine and weed were in the aftertaste, from the Simcoe, but this was a sweet beer that was more like something that I'd have from Tired Hands with the world "Milkshake" in the name. Canned on 10/9 with "BEST BEER" written under it, this almost needed to be in a class of a different sort, since it was more of a dessert beer than something along the lines of Tree House or Trillium. Fun for a relaxing nightcap!

16oz canned 10/20.
A: Thickly hazed pale-golden pour with a creamy white head that laces excellently.
S: Strong tropically fruity hops with notes of mango and grapefruit; sweet and floral.
T: Milk sugar sweetness abounds with plenty of mango, grapefruit, guava; candied hops really - the Citra is strong.
MF: Creamy and smooth with minimal bitterness and lots of residual sweetness.
O: A good double NEIPA; the milk sugar is surprisingly present, but the Citra hops are just as good.
