Not too heavy. Citra hops gives it a slight citrus background taste. Slight sweetness from the malt flavor, but not too much. Those who say they don't like dark beers should give this a try.

Had this on tap from the source, pours a nice caramel brown color that you can sort of see through. Short and thin off white colored head leaves little lacing down the glass. Smells of sweet roasted malts, hints of caramel and brown sugar. Taste is good for a brown ale - brown sugar, nice mix of roasted and toasted malts, hints of caramel mixed in as well. Feels light to medium bodied, smooth, nice amount of carbonation, overall a good take on a classic beer!

A: slight haze; dark brown in color; 1 finger beige head that receded to a wispy cap; very nice lacing;
S: toasted grain with a bit of dark chocolate and coffee;
T: follows the nose from start to finish; mild bitterness on the finish that increases slightly in the aftertaste;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: easy drinking; just wnough hop bitterness to keep things interesting;
