Hazy gold color. Small white head, some lace.
Sweet fruit, perfume. Sweet malt background.
Berry taste, probably strawberries. Some orange. A little caramel.
A pleasant beer. Will drink this anytime.

16 oz can poured into willybecher glass canned on 6/23

A: very slight haze to the body yellowish slightly amber color. the head was pretty small and white and soapy.

S: strawberries, mango, sweet tangerine and berries

T: The strawberry flavor is huge and a little mango and tangerine slightly sweet back in with a little bit of a honey taste.

M: medium bodied lower carbonation very soft and plush.

O: This beer is really good the strawberry flavor is super unique and quite delicious. I wish I would have grabbed more of this.

16 oz can dropped off at Spruce Creek Provisions in Kittery. Nice and fresh, right off the delivery van.

Pours a hazy, glowing straw gold color with a bright white one finger head that settles down to half with spotty lacing.

Aroma is moderately strong with notes of stone fruit and citrus.

Taste follows the smell in that there are strong notes of grapefruit and necatrine coming through. Low but sweet malt in the back means the hop flavor blasts through up front along with a little seltzer, then subsides through to the finish, leaving a clean fresh taste in the mouth. No real sense that this is a double from the taste, which is great IMO.

Feel is clean and crisp with no stickiness or alcohol taste. This is a great summer IPA and I think it is a little underclassed for DIPA but I don't really mind.

Fantastic beer - Battery Steele is doing some great stuff. I think all three of their available beers down this way so far have been winners. I will be watching out for their stuff going forward.

Can dated 08/7/17.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking murky to hazy burnt orange color with a sustaining finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Lace tried to stick but slid for the most part.
The aroma had some orange to mango sweetness with a danky sweet onion then a light lime and some smooth grassy sweet hops accompanying a smooth cracker malt bill.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a substantial juiciness running about, still, it pulled in a nice balancing maltiness that shaped the final overall taste very nicely. Light danky onion. Mild tropical sweet aftertaste with a little bit of danky sweet onion.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it - enough body to show me the right kind of weight for a DIPA. Carbonation felt appropriate. ABV felt on par. Slight bitter to juicy sweet sort of finish.
Overall, pretty damn nice DIPA well worthy of having again.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.

Pours a lightly hazy golden color with 2-fingers of effervescent white head. The head leaves a good amount of cobweb lacing as it settles into a soapy halo.

The aroma brings lots of orange and mango, with a touch of sweet berries. A strong toasted malt backbone is there to provide balance.

The taste is full of berries, candied orange, and sweet caramel malt. Pleasant, but not a lot going on.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very creamy and smooth, but a fair amount of warming from the alcohol.

Overall, a very good DIPA that is relatively well-balanced but doesn't really stand out. It's a bit on the sweeter side, and the alcohol is definitely present. Still, a good beer that is definitely worth trying.

A- Very slightly hazy pale golden yellow body pours from the tallboy to a snifter. A fluffy white head rises to one finger high with decent retention. A small ring leaves spotty lacing.

S- Dank and tropical/stone fruity hops in a fairly pungent aroma. Dank sticky skunky weed, passionfruit, mango, melon, mint, bubble gum, onion and tangerines.

T- Things shift around quite a bit compared to the aroma with a strong floral and resinous flavor coming out. An intense concentrated citrus zest flavor also shows up. Overall strong grapefruit, dank herbs and pine resin lead to creamsicle, melon, woodsy, apricot, mango, tangerine and onion hop flavors.

MF- Medium-heavy body and a high level of carbonation. The texture is somewhat creamy and foamy. Intense sharp concentrated citrus bitterness ends the experience in the finish.

A very pleasant and balanced aroma of dank and fruity hops shifts towards a more sharp citrus and bitter experience on the taste buds. I have been having this happen more and more lately. Is it the sheer amount of hops or some sort of concentrated hop product (the intense concentrated citrus bitterness burn)? Still rather good but more translation from the aroma to the palate would make it fantastic.

Released last weekend at the brewery on tap and in 4pack cans.

Pour from the brewery during day on Saturday then can at home on Sunday.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with thick foamy head that is just off white. Head settles slowly and leaves sticky lacing.

Aroma is bright citrus zest, orange, some herbal and floral spice notes. As it warms I get some more fruity tropical scents.

Flavor is bright citrus with some toasted or cracker malt background. Tropical fruits and smooth.

Moderate carbonation and medium body, smooth and refreshing, hides the ABV.

A nice brew, tasty and clean. Nice balance of flavors.

A 16oz can stamped "6/23/17 Amarillo, Mosaic, El Dorado"

It looks great. A cloudy glowing gold with a pillowy egg shell white head that has great retention and lacing.

A little bit of stone fruit and orange with a little musty mango.

A lot of orange and berry flavor to me. Thought it smelled better and the mosaic hops, not that it screamed it, vanished. A little bit of herbal flavor with a bunch of sweet malts. Bitter on the finish. A little too sweet and messy for me.

Body is soft and pillowy like the head.

It's good. Not great.

From a growler filled at the brewery 07/08/17, about 24 hours ago. Served in a tulip.

Pours a lightly hazed, glowing orange with a finger of soft, white head. Retention is OK, leaving a fizzy cap and a light sheet of lacing.

Smells of honey toasted malt, pineapples, lime and salty sweat.

Taste is initially one-dimensionally sweetly malty but understated bitterness develops with weak grapefruit juice and mineral water, followed by some fruity aromatics, peach, grapefruit, guava and lime. Earthy, sort of flowery, the sweetness goes away and a muted, tingly citrus bitterness lingers.

Medium bodied, decently carbonated but still somehow dull. A hint of boozy warmth in the gullet.

Overall, a respectable if not life-altering DIPA. Pronounced maltiness, restrained hoppiness. Not a lot of character and maybe the screw-top growler cost it some of its zip? because, even though there was good carbonation, it felt a little flat and lifeless. I'd like to have tried a can but they were all gone by the time I got there. At any rate, I enjoyed it well enough that I'll try it again when I get the chance.
