Poured from a 12 oz can. Curbside pickup today... semi-quarantine birthday present for myself here (even though it’s tomorrow).
Pours a hazy amber color with an orange tint. Head is off-white and foamy. Starts about 3 fingers thick, then recedes, but retains well and lacing is good too.
Smell is very juicy, almost to a fault but not quite. Citrus qualities are grapefruit, tangerine and pineapple. I almost get mango from it as well but if it’s there it isn’t very strong. Some pine and floral notes in there.
Taste follows the nose. Citrus and pine win the day in the end, but not before the grassy quality shines. Hops are present. Very balanced. Finish is long and juicy. I would never know this is an 8.5% beer.
Feel is booth smooth and refreshing. Body is medium, carbonation is on the low side but sufficient. Doesn’t leave a syrupy coating on my tongue like other juicy IPAs do.
Overall - outstanding indeed. Immediately near the top of my list of favorite IPAs.

Absolutely LOVE Broken Tile! Wonderfully balanced with all the attributes you’d want in a high-end DIPA.
L - Beautiful slightly translucent golden with lace that hangs on to the end. Pretty.
S - Not remarkable but nice. I don’t get anything exotic like mango but the usual piny and citra notes are good.
T - Superb citrus overall with lemon/orange background. Slight hit of fresh grass that has a bit of a bitter balance to it. Bright character. Well balanced at 8.5ABV.
F - Perfect. Not fizzy, just nice smooth barely oily in the mouth. This one seems to sit more forward than others, with much of the feel toward the front of the mouth. I like it.
O - Definitely a repeat! Broken Tile is a sweet natured Beer that’s easy to love. It has an overall sweet character that I find very enjoyable.

Pours to a thinning white head that falls to a thin layer and moderate lacing. Hazy orange gold. Aroma is tangerine, pineapple, fresh flowers and pine needles and dry malt. Flavor is on the sweet side for sure. A sipper. Very juicy and low on bitterness. Lots of alcohol in the flavor and mouth feel. Decent tasting but I don't want more than a taster of this.

L: Hazy, looks juicy and you wouldn't be able to see through it even if you were trying hard. Very small sediment floating throughout.
S: Juicy hops. Some fruit.
T: Very juicy with a light and very balanced hop bitterness turning into malt as it goes.
F: Full flavored and full bodied.
O: Impressed me. Would be a very good IPA to have packs of in the fridge.

12oz bottle
Hazy peach gold color with a thin head and quick retention.
Faint lime and then cereal-ish froot-looopy aroma.
The hops don't smell or taste particularly fresh or lively. Bitterness is still there and lingers over the tongue.
Overripe fruit.
Unfortunately not one I enjoyed....moving on. Maybe past it's prime but I couldn't find a date on it.

On tap at the Patriarch.
Poured a pale yellow and quite hazy with a thick white froth that settles slow.
Mostly grapefruit and orange in the aroma.
Tastes of orange juice, white grape and zest for good measure.
Light to medium and easy to drink as it should be.
One of my favorite NE DIPA's, and I usually choose this one over the current local rock stars because of the price point vs. quality, which makes it a rock star in and of itself.

On tap into an IPA glass. Pours a hazy straw color with a three finger head that slowly recedes and leaves lacing down 75% of the glass. Strong nose of grapefruit hops with an undercurrent of floral hops. Taste follows the nose with strong and smooth grapefruit and citrus hops before a subtle, floral finish. Surprisingly juicy IPA given the grapefruit bomb nose. Medium-light body and medium carbonation with no aftertastes.
Very strong first IPA from this brewery. It smells like more of a hop bomb than it is and the 8.5% alcohol is invisible. I personally enjoyed it as a break from the usual west coast IPA.
