On-tap at Local option. Served in a tulip.

A - White foam settles to a cap, leaving behind minimal lace. Transparent straw body.

S - Lots of lactic sourness to it, with lemon, light wheat, and a touch of malt sweetness to it as well. Seems less bracing and acidic than the potato version, although it'd be hard to top that one.

T - This is also incredibly sour like the potato version. Wheat persists, but other malt sweetness drops away, yielding mostly lactic acidity, some mild vinous notes, and yeast flavors in the finish.

M - Dry, crisp, light body, with pleasant moderate carbonation. Again, it's quite acidic, reaching stomach-churning levels by the end of the glass.

D - I think I enjoyed this a bit more than the potato, as there was more flavor balance and spritz to it. Worth checking out if you see it around town. Also really nice to see some German breweries experimenting, even if only moderately so.
