Notes:
Our dark wheat beer is called “Kuppler” (operator). It is a top-fermented, refreshing beer and has a colour similar to amber. It has the typical taste of wheat beer and also a fruity note, and it is not very bitter.

hm, really a disappointing hefeweizen. it looks quite good and rememberd me of schneider weisse original with its hazy light brown colour and thick head. but it smells like almost nothing. slightly malty but not fruity as you might know it from this style. it taste like nothing special, not even a bit sour or fruity or hoppy. just little malty. no aftertase at all. well it's light bodied and I guess quite refreshing in summer but you will not remember.

Served on-draught into a hefeweissbier glass at the brewery. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a three finger head of nice cream, lovely thickness, great retention, and white colour. Colour of the beer is a hazy orange/slight amber. Appealing.
Sm: Citrus ester hops, namely grapefruit, but other fringe esters are present in more limited quantities.
T: Citrus esters with a foul off-ourine stale cream finish that is nothing short of wretched. If I hadn't seen the bartender pour it, I'd have thought he urinated in it. The open is better, with ester hints, but elsewise this is plain awful. Probably the worst hefeweizen I've ever had. Imbalanced, with an almost sour cream vibe in the third act.
Mf: Wet and smooth. Bleh. It matches the foulness of the flavours.
Dr: Cheap enough, but pretty crap. Unforgivably bad. An insult to the country in which it's brewed.
