Copper and slightly cloudy, with no visible carbonation. Topped with a half finger of whitish head.

Smells of hard water, pears, and slightly Bready.

It starts with hard water, very pizza- yeasty quality, biscuit, pumpkin spices , and finishes with a very floral yeasty quality.

Light body, spicy carbonation.

Found and drank in Perth, Australia, August 17, 2017. Very good and interesting brew. My first in this style, on my first day down under!

Reviewed from notes taken on a trip to Sydney but not entered until after being back for a while.

The beer pours a pale golden straw color with a slight haze that seems to be yeast from bottle conditioning. The 1/4" white head recedes fairly soon and leaves light scattered spots of lacing. By the middle of the beer the lacing and any speckles of foam are long gone.

The aromas include the malt, some citrus and floral notes here and there along with hints of spice.

The flavors are mild (as might be expected from the name), fresh and clean with good balance. As expected from the nose they include a nice touch of malt with some fruity and floral character from the hops. There is also a nice light clean touch of bitterness.

The mouthfeel is on the light side of medium bodied and slightly crisp from the fine, persistent carbonation. The finish is medium short and begins as the malt sweetness fades away to turn try and light bitterness that invites another sip.

Overall I enjoyed this beer and think it a great choice for an evening out with friends or when at a party and expecting to have to drive later. The caution I would make is that if you are wanting/expecting lots of strong flavors this beer isn't for you. The flavors are clean, crisp and light, with emphasis on "light."

This traditional brewing approach provides the smooth malt character which is balanced by a triple hopping with Pride of Ringwood and Saaz hops. The brew is fermented similarly to its stablemates Pale and Sparkling Ale, with the secondary fermentation in the bottle.

A lovely drop that is one of my favourite mid strength beers! Coopers make great beer and this is no exception!

A: Slightly cloudy, straw colour. Thin head remains with no lacing.

S: Slight grassy/ earthy scent with a metallic undertone

T: Watery which is expected from a midstrength beer, bready aftertaste which I liked.

M: Thin and watery

O: A standard midstrength beer, not bad but I have other favourites in the midstrength beers I would buy over this.

At first I thought, not really bad, but also not very traditional. Then it started downhill. First thing I noticed was the color being quite light. It did have some noticeable hops, but not much malt - very thin. Unbalanced beer. There's significant long lasting carbonic tang. Not much in the aroma department either. Now that I'm done with this review, the brew gets dumped.

Bottle: a brown 375mL bottle with the standard Coopers macro label.

Appearance: rolled the bottle per the Coopers norm, pours a cloudy straw with a limited, flacid head (no pun). Minimal head and lacing. Not great to be honest.

Aroma: a fair nose for a mild: grains, Coopers yeast and grass hops. Not mind-blowing, but reasonable.

Taste: a very light palate of Coopers yeast and some dark fruits, but mostly grain. Quite one-dimensional.

Aftertaste: a touch of bitterness comes through on the finish.

Mouth feel: again reasonable but not brilliant. Light to moderate in body with a moderate carbonation.

Overall: tastes somewhat like a lighter / lower ABV version of the Coopers flagship Pale Ale and Sparkling Ale. The only problem with that is that it lacks any kind of individuality, and just leaves me thinking 'Why not just get a Pale Ale?" If I was getting a semi-craft lower ABV beer, I'd just get a Little Creatures' Rogers beer.
