A table-style version of Saison Meer. Brewed with Indiana malt, Michigan Cascade and Centennial, and Lake Michigan water, then fermented in oak barrels with our mixed culture.

500 mL bottle. Sept 4, 2017 batch.
Holy crap. This is the best. Tart, sweet fruit, wheat, Light acidity, earthy grain. Remarkable body and flavor for ABV.

I think this one was one of my favorite low alcohol beers I've had. For a beer that comes in at only 3.3% there is a lot of flavor. It had very nice carbonation A bit of lemon in the flavor with a touch of spice at the end. Almost like a glass of Champaign.

Had on tap. Mostly clear golden body with a huge white head. What makes this one is the delicate yet super artful body, with great funk, sourness, oak, yeast, slight grain, decent effervescence. Smells of lemon juice with funk, oak, light grass and hay. Taste hits the funk and brett intermittently, while sour lemon, slight lime zest, floral yeast, vanillins accented oak and dry earth interact. Delicate yet sneaky in how complex it is

Glassy bright gold, initial burst of foam that settled to a quick finger or so before fully dissipating.
Tiny bit of random spotty lacing, thin patchy surface skim. I'd expect a huge head from wild tafelbier like this.
Nice aroma, Brett funk and musty oak, vaguely botanical hop greenery.
Light puckering tartness, lemon curd and oaky vanilla that lingers into the dry woody aftertaste.
Fairly light bodied and delicate with quickly fading carbonation, could maybe use a touch more.
Overall this beer is great, it shows nice balance and structure, with a pleasantly oak forward flavor.
