The hoppiest of our beers, the orange-hued IPA exudes hop bitterness, flavor, and aroma with an undertone of Caramel and Munich malts.

Deep cloudy amber color. 1/2 finger head. No retention and very thin lace.
Dark malty pine nose. A little peaty with caramel malt coming through.
Tastes more like a malty amber with a hop kick. Not a bad beer, but not a true IPA. Maybe a beach version?
Lots of body here with all that malt. Decent drinker, but very filling.

On vacation in Myrtle Beach stopped by this steakhouse/brewpub and was pleasantly surprised. First off, food was fantastic at this lace, but the beers weren't too bad either. I got a 23 oz of their IPA ($6.50 and you keep the glass). A more malt heavy IPA, a little weak on aroma and hop bitterness, but very drinkable and well balanced. Not the hop bomb I would have rather liked, but a tasty brew that was fresh and hit the spot. Had about 7 or 8 other beers on tap and would recommend this place if you're in the area.

On tap at the Flying Fish in North Myrtle Beach.
Appearance - Light amber color with very little head and minimal lacing.
Smell - The smell of the beer was nice with fruity hop aromas and a bit of caramel malt.
Taste - This beer simply doesn't deliver as an IPA. It's actually more like a mildly hoppy Pale Ale. Hop flavors are muted to the point of being undetectable - very disappointing...
Mouthfeel - Thin and watery - more disappointment.
Drinkability - Don't know what the ABV on this beer was - but I suspect between 6-7%, which is fine...
Overall, this was a pretty forgettable/mediocre IPA. I always like to try locally brewed craft beers when travelling. Sometimes you find hidden jewels and sometimes you get a bust. The Liberty IPA falls more into bust territory - below average for the style...

Poured a deep golden amber color with 1/2 pinky of off-white head. OK retention left nice sticky lacing. Smells of citrus like pineapple and grapefruit, caramel, earth, and cut grass. Tastes of pineapple, grapefruit, caramel, malt, grass, and light pine notes. Medium in body with nice carbonation. Not overly bitter but very nicely balanced and quite flavorful. Easy to drink and refreshing. Not one of the mind numbingly bitter IPAs out there, but very sessionable and hoppy enough that you knew it was an IPA.

I was served this beer at the steakhouse on tap. It was my first visit to the location, and being an IPA freak, this one was the first one that I tried.
The aroma was good, but not nearly as floral as I was accustomed to with an IPA, not nearly as strong.
The flavor was good, but the body was a little lacking, a little too thin for my tastes.
It was a very good orange-ish color, perfect for an IPA.
The head retention was surprisingly long, which is good.
All-in-all, I'd say that this was an average IPA, but I could see myself drinking quite a bit of it. The other beers they offered were quite good, as well.

Pours the color of the copper kettles it's brewed in. Thin head with poor retention. Lot's of carbonation bubbles .
Smell is of artificial sweatner. Splenda maybe? Where's the hops?
First sip...There's the hops. The appearence and aroma had me doubting. But while tasting I realize this is an IPA. Mixture of citrus and floral hops on a solid malt backbone. Decent tasting IPA.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and feels like some of the more milder IPA's outthere. Can't feel the hops in other words.
Overall it's a drinkable beer that would be worthy of a session.
