Great food with Great beer!! What can go wrong with that? i've been going here for years and the atmosphere is nice, big screen in the bar with big windows to watch the brewing process. There are always 1 or 2 seasonals on tap. Love their porter, blackberry wheat, and my favorite is their Oktoberfest. One of if not the best Oktoberfest I've had. Their food is great as well and they do update their menu every year or so.

nice steakhouse, fancy and you can see the brewing containers through a glass window while sitting in the bar.

the service was good. Waitress were friendly.

Solid food selection and the food overall was very good…

I tried their ipa and stout… was ok but nothing i'd go back for.

Nice steakhouse. House brewed beer selection is decent. They sometimes feature one of my favorite beers, the Debeen Espresso Porter. The food was okay, I ordered a sirloin rare and received it that way. I visited the day after my birthday to celebrate, and received a nice slice of complementary chocolate cake, which was pretty good. That brings me to the reason I would recommend Liberty, the customer service. Our wait time during peak hours was reasonable, and our waiter was excellent, he attended to our every need, and did what is usually impossible, he would check on my group at the perfect intervals, not often and not to seldom. Overall, I would definitely eat here again.

I live close to this establishment so, this review is based on the last 20 (roughly) trips that I have made to Liberty. They have an ok selection of brews although their beer is on a love it/hate it basis with me. I am a huge hop head so I have tried many times to get into their IPA, but it's just not that good along with their Liberty Lager. However, the Deep River Wheat or Blackberry Wheat is great (and I don't typically go for a wheat!). Liberty is a great place to watch a game or eat. THe food here is amazing and is the main reason I continue to frequent this joint. They also have a nice Porter!

I went to Liberty many times while in college. It's a great brewpub in a boring town (Sorry, High Point.) Anyway, the beer is great. Personal favorites are Blackberry Wheat and Deep River Wheat. They also have some interesting seasonals (can't remember off the top of my head). They have about 8 house brews on tap. Service was always great. I didn't eat there much because it's a bit pricey, but their food is good. They have an excellent Happy Hour menu, $2.50 pints on Wednesdays, $8 pitchers on Thursdays, and some other drink specials Friday and Saturday. Good place, great beer.

Stopped in here for lunch today. Sat at the bar. The bar area is set apart from the rest of the restaurant. The bartender was very nice and informative. Even went and asked the brewer a few questions for me that I had asked. They had a decent lineup for this time. Their usual suspects were there: Lager, Amber Ale, IPA, Porter, Wheat, their Seasonal which was a dry-hopped Rye I believe, and their special, which I ordered, an Espresso Porter. The Es. Porter was very good. One of the better coffee-forward beers I had had in awhile. I ordered their meatloaf sandwich with fries. It was very large and pretty good. They had some bbq sauce and caramelized onions on the top that were a little too sweet for me. Overpowered the meatloaf for sure. All in all, this was a good experience. I will be back for sure to try some more of their lineup. As a side note, on Wednesday's their pints are only $2.50.

I ate here on my last trip through town. We have one of these in Greenville though they do not brew down here. The beer is rather average at best, but I mean it is a chain, what can you do. But the food is absolutly excellent. Top notch place to go for dinner, you really will not be dissapointed. A decent flight of beer may leave you scratching your head in the end, but you will certainly enjoy your dinner. Staff is friendly and it is just a nice, well rounded place to have a bite to eat. Will try and stop in again later in the week for lunch.

During our recent visit to the central NC area for the Sexual Chocolate release I had no intention of visiting Liberty Steakhouse. First, it has that chain type feel, I have not heard good things about their beers and well there are other places I felt like visiting.

But, after having a few healthy samples of their one-off Lambic (no note damn it) at the Footsex Party and then a pint of the very tasty Espresso Stout at City Beverage I felt like the beers may be taking a new and better direction.

Our local friends, and club members of LSH using it as their home pub when they won Beer Drinkers of the Year, told us that they have a new brewer and he is trying to turn things around.

So....jump to Saturday late afternoon. We arrive and the place is hopping. Located in a shopping center I thought...oh no. Wanting to be open minded I thought maybe it will be a surprise like Rock Bottom at KOP.

A three section place with a non-smoking dining are to the left, a large open bar area with booth seating in the middle and then out the door to the right is a large outdoor deck which was in use since it was 70+ degrees in early February!

Nine brews on, no cask, Would have been ten but the delicious sounding dry-hopped Kellerbier had just kick earlier in the day, darn it!

I had the wee heavy which was quite nice and C settled for four 4 oz samples(nut brown, stout, ipa and blackberry wheat)....all of which were at least good if not better.

Our server, while at times was a little herky jerky, was good overall. He was real sorry about the keller not being on and since our friends were club members and got club mugs he assumed I must be too!

The food was the real hit...I dont know if they do this every Saturday but they were offering .40 cent wings and .30 cent shrimp and oysters(raw or steamed!!) What?! oysters for .30 each...HOLY! that's $3.60 / dz! Ok, well I will take a dz raw and C took a dz steamed. They were large, fresh and oh so tasty!

In addition my shrimp and grits plate was one of the best I have had....full of fat shrimp, plenty of crisp bacon, gooey cheese and nice, creamy grits. A well done dish for sure!

Overall a nice place that I would not hesitate visiting again. As long as the brewer stays on and continues making good brew this place could really start making a name for itself.

I enjoy Liberty although I haven't been there many times. Since I live 3 miles away from their High Point location, I'm going to start going more frequently. Their house beers are good. My favorites are the IPA and the Nut Brown Ale. They have seasonal beers which are good as well. I went there on Wednesday night and the food was top notch. The Nut Brown Ale was crisp and very good. I would recommend it to anybody in the area. Also try their Myrtle Beach location. Both are very good and reasonably priced.

I live here in High Point, so Liberty is a common stop for me. Friday nights are usually the most crowded due to the live music. The beers are all above average my favorite is the Nut Brown Ale. They typically have 6 to 8 brews on tap with one seasonal. Service here is usually good and a few really know their beer. Everything on the menu is good, so try anything. The decor is patriotic and the atmosphere is different throughout the year depending on the night and if school is in. If in town go get a pint.

Visit date: Saturday, June 30

As the name might imply, the emphasis at this establishment seems to be more toward the steak part of the name, rather than the brew part. We went in on a Saturday evening and were seated within about five minutes. There were seven beers available (their IPA had just run out), but we had a hard time deciding what to select. Mostly, this was because the offerings were common styles, and we were in the mood to try something fun. We settled for the porter and the nut brown ale. Both were fine beers, though it took a couple sips for the nut brown to grow on us. Pints ran us $3.25 each.

Somewhat disturbing about the place was that almost no one was drinking the beer--well, the house-brewed beers. Virtually everyone was drinking either mixed drinks, wine, or (gasp) Bud Light.

The building definitely has a steakhouse feel to it, almost like some of the national chains. We both opted for burgers, which were quite good.

Overall, it was a nice visit, but the beer selection and/or creativity was underwhelming.

I often frequent this establishment during happy hour, which is 4-7, M-F. They usually have a beer special like 2 dollar pints or 6 dollar pitchers. They also have half priced appetizers.

During the summer, this is a great place to go on Monday nights for the Martini and Cigar night. They also have a live band most of the nights and Mondays this takes place in their outdoor seating area, weather permitting.

Service is usually expeditious and some of the servers know the beer; others dont know and dont care. Another thing I like is they serve beers in room temp glasses (which should be common sense in breweries but seems to never happen). They do however, serve their Liberty Lager in a frosted mug; but hey, its a lager.

I and my wife generally enjoy the pretzels with mustard and the potato skins, which can feed about 5 people. A nice place in HP for beer and food. They also offer Sunday brunch which is good for in-laws and parents alike.

Just made another visit, thought it was time to update the review.

Atmosphere: Still very laid back and calm. The beer focus has gotten better. Had a chance to chat with Eric (Headbrewer Eric Lamb) and talk to him about what was going on and new beers since we got the law changed.

Quality: The quality is very good. They've upped the IPA to around 7% and it is very solid and drinkable. You can tell that they use quality ingredients. I would like to see Eric go crazy and brew some off the wall beers.

Service: Really fast, very nice and courteous. They asked if I needed another beer so many times by no less than three people, it actually became a running joke. I guess because I had the pint nearly drained well before I finished my burger. I had to go back to work, drive 30 mins., and stay awake after lunch, so I just stuck to one.

Selection: Above average for the area. They have six regulars and at least one seasonal. Tap room for eight beers.

Food: Fantastic, very varied menu. I've always had really good food when I've visited.

Value: Food is priced well, pints are usually $3 I think. They were on special for $2.50 when I was there last.

Great place. Hopefully it will help to bring the beer scene in High Point up.

I had never known this place was close to me if it wasnt or beerfly thanks BA,anyways took a trip to High Point to try this place out.Not an overly fancy place there is a small "beer garden" out front just a little warm for me to sit out there yesterday, mainly booths instead od tables with chairs wich me and the other half like.We had a cute server with a thick southern accent that just added to her cuteness she even knew a little about the brews they were serving,I had the amber to start wich was decent light for the style but did have some nice flavors going on along with the lager wich was ok but nothing spectacular and the IPA wich was the best of the buch.We are got out beers for free the manager came out and said they burnt my wifes pizza so we had to wait another 10minutes for entrees,my shrimp and grits were left in the window while the pizza was being redone so it wasnt quite as good as it may have been.decent food, decent beer and good service here we will come again for sure.

Liberty is a fun place to visit every so often. I think the atmosphere is a little tacky... they went a little too overboard with patriotic decorations for my taste...eagles here, mini-statue of liberty there... it's the theme, so I won't fault the rating too much--it was just a little extreme in my opinion. It's usually very busy with people who want to eat a meal, especially on weekends... people are crowding the bar area waiting to pounce on a table when one becomes available due to a wait for other dining tables.

The beer selection is pretty good--they generally have 6-8 available at any time. They are all generally at least average--I like the IPA and the oatmeal stout the most, but the amber is pretty drinkable although maybe a little weak. The nut brown here is much different than the brown I recently tasted at their Myrtle Beach location--the one here is kinda of weak with just a mild malty sweetness that dies out to water...maybe it could have been a bad batch last time I was here. Some domestic macros are also available.

The service is generally pretty good... nothing really noteworthy.

The appetizers are good (especially the fluffy warm pretzels) and the entree's are better than average. I come here once in a while for the beer/food combo--it still makes for an enjoyable time, especially when you are with someone who hasn't tried all the different brews.
