Nice pilsner, I am glad I picked up a 4pk of tall boys on my way home from MN. More of a classic American pilsner than a German style but better than any AALs that call themselves pilsners. My only regret is there are only 3 cans left and I can't get it around my home area.

16oz tallboy can, sample from the brewery.

Rich golden hued brew, lacing leaves a trail down the glass. Grainy and rustic but clean enough for a lager, biscuity with a slight bready tone throughout. Spicy herbal hop character drops a balancing bitterness on the palate. Glad there was a lot of thought put into this revived brew, while the use of Saaz hops and Munich Malt is a plus the other American ingredients (I am sure they are quality ingredients) bring this beer to a point of not being at the level of its German counterparts. Very good drinking, cold be a bit cleaner but I had not problem crushing a couple of cans.

nice color. clear and golden with lots of lace.

dry and crisp. smell is bready - maybe sourdough? taste is mildly spicy but the bitterness develops throughout the glass.

well carbonated and clean.

good beer from a good place.

If this is the beer I have in my glass right now at Gluek 's in downtown Minneapolis, it's pretty Damon delicious, delivers on all the elements in looking for in beer-flavored beer

Aroma of fruit, grass, bread, spice. Rich golden color, tall white creamy head. Lot of very small bubbes. Looks great. Mild taste, no bittering until in the aftertaste, and it is just barely there then, fruit and bread (perhaps a bit sour). Smooth feel, perhaps a bit thin, creamy on the tongue. The bittering builds as you drink. By the time I'm approaching the end of the pint, the beer does seem quite bitter. Enjoyable and refreshing. MN pilsner fans should give it a try.

L-Golden colored...some haze

S-Sourdough bread...slighty off like the old Cold Spring version of Glueks from late 90's early 2000's..

T-A little toastiness and that sourdough bread...

F-Light side of medium...a light spicy bitterness on the finish.

O-I expected much better and after reading how they redid this beer but to be honest it has that same "off sourdough" flavor the old Glueks did. Below average beer when compared to all that is out there in the German Pilsner category.

L: pours brilliant gold under a 2" off-white foam cap with fair retention.

S: spicy Saaz earthy aromas rise from the glass seasoned by the sweet bread, bread crust and cracker smell of light Munich malt.

T: starts mildly malty sweet leading to a crisp, bitter finish.

F: body is medium light and the carbonation is medium high

O: flavorful and has a pleasant long lingering bitterness.

Beautifully clear golden with loose frothy head dissipating rapidly. Mild bready smell with no fruity overtones. Good carbonation. Slightly bitter retention , but totally sessionable. Get it if you can find it.
