12 oz. can poured into Willibecher
A- Straw colored a bit hazy. Head is white, dense, but retains poorly. Not really much lacing, but rather a bit of residue around the glass.
S- Grainy, spent grain. Grassy. Slightly fruity notes, and very faint citrus.
T- Faint grainy and fruit notes. Not citrus. Rather bland in flavor.
M- Body is light. Fairly clean throughout, though finishes with a lingering earthy-hop bitterness.
O- Pretty bland overall. Probably what you get with using a wild hop variety. Though I believe it could have been showcased a bit better.

Poured into an Irish-Style pint glass.
The beer gushed out of each can, and once poured into the glass was nothing but foamy head from top to bottom, so carbonation issues, or what?
The beer, once settled and fully poured in the glass is a hazy opaque tanned straw yellow with a white head that needless to say, is like sea foam. Head retention leaves a dollop of white foam with large patches of lacing remaining on the glass.
The aroma is very bright, citrusy, and fresh. Lemon peel zest, tangerine, and zesty white pepper spiciness abound. The taste is a bit flat, and that’s why I wonder about the abundant over-carbonation. There is more of a bitter grapefruit flesh and cedar wood flavor on the palate. The finish is bitter, dry, and oddly metallic.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and dry.
Overall, if the rest of the attributes were as solid as the aroma, this would be a great beer. As it is, it’s a bit confusing. Maybe I’ll try another 6 pack some other time to see if it explodes too.

Hazy golden colour with light head and no lacing.
Flavors are bright, exceptionally so even. Grapefruit bombs and pine shrapnel assault taste buds. Malts float in following the hops assault, providing ground coverage in the form of sweet malts. Carbonation is abundant but not harsh.
Pretty darn good.

Smell is ridiculously good. Juicy fruit like mango and tangerine are dominant. Taste is more piney and tarter fruit- kind of like hallertau blanc hops and other newer New Zealand style hops. Finish is medium bitter that lingers. Nice malt. High carbonation gives it a seltzer water few. Overall, pretty damn good but not elite beer.

Towering loose white cap over hazy platinum. 3.75
Big lemon rind with some earth and leaf. 4
Whisper of saltines, some graininess, then grapefruit, herbal edge, and some soil. 3.75
Red grapefruit zest finish and lemon balm linger.
Halfway to medium, oil, round. 4
Nice nose - citrus but funk and oil. Coats the tongue on the finish. Enough to get me interested in NeoMex. 4

12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright/dank citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright/dank citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance with no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of bright/dank citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

12 oz can. Pours hazy bright straw yellow with a huge creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass some.
The aroma is dank green hops with some fruit and a slight green onion note.
The flavor is bready malts with piney fruity hops and some slight green onion here too. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a nice fruity piney hoppy pale with a touch of green onion.

nice to see this in 6-pack cans now, this new batch is even better than when I first tried it in a 22oz bomber a year ago. needs to be fresh and drank asap, not one to age as I feel the hop flavor will degrade.

I love this beer. I've consumed a lot of this when it was on draught. Glad to see it in cans and think it will only get better once they tame this hop.
Unique pale ale with cool new hop flavors.
The buzz is a little different with this one too...

This is one of the more rustic beers I had in a long time. The beer is interesting and good but not always at the same time. Popping the cork releases a whiff of vinegar, light malt, lemon, citrus and a little bit of fresh mowed highway shoulder planted with prairie vegetation. It’s a funky pour - cloudy with small particles and a lot of sediment on the bottom of the bottle. I may have an infected bottle – the palate is very creamy, tart with lemon and citrus notes, some green herbal to vegetable tastes, grainy light malt and almost as much salt as in a Gose. It’s light, highly effervescent and refreshing if you can get past the particles. Pour carefully, the sediment is gross.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle.
Very dark golden color, a little murkier than your average pale ale. Nice dense head, about 1 inch thick in a Sam Adams pint glass. Quite busy on the carbonation front.
The nose was nothing special; typical pale ale to me.
Interesting taste; hop forward, but with a bit of pepper up front, too. Very crisp and not much maltiness. The bitterness level was about average. Its difficult for me to describe the subtleties of the taste. Not too fruity IMHO, despite the manufacturer's claims. Mostly a hoppy beer with a unique taste.
It won't be a "go to" beer for me, but I'd buy a pint now and then.

The color appears as a light gold with a foamy and white head; lots of energetic carbonation bubbles. Doughy, warm bread smell with hints of strawberry and other fruits; a twinge of lemon. The flavor has weak grain notes with a strong bitterness that builds through the finish. Medium bodied; semi-dry finish.
This is a decent pale ale with an emphasis on hop bitterness over anything else. The malt flavors and aroma comes across in a low-key manner, perceptible and decent as such, but really kept in the background. The label on the bottle is pretty straight forward with regards to "subtle flavors and aromas". Tasty enough and very drinkable in a quiet way.

I had this froma 22oz bottle which cost $4.99 as well as on tap at the brewery in Edwards. I don;t like double reviews so I'll note each one here as they were both bad but in different ways. The appearance was the same for both, golden yellow, good head. The aroma on the bottle was mostly butter, yuck. The aroma on the tap version was weeds, not marijuana but like milkweed or something, yuck. The flavor on the bottled version was a lot of butter and the tap version was green, vegetal weeds. I'm not sure how each version managed to be so different, they were only consumed a day apart but they were both equally terrible.

Pours a murky golden color. Nice little head. Clean it up and it would look great
Holy bees knees. The aroma is awful. Must be this particular hop. It's weedy, dank, pungent green, almost agave. Yikes
Flavor has a bit of that aroma in it. Unique flavor to be sure. A sample glass was almost too much. Traces of tropical fruit and melon...traces if I think about it. Some sugars
Feel had a bite, but it was too little too late. A hop bomb for sure, on a hop that needs to be looked at again. Maybe I got a bad pour?
A 22oz bomber is way too much.
