The colour is very dark brown; the liquid clear. The two fingers head is compact and beige; it sinks slowly down to a thick lid without any lacing.
The smell is semi-sweet with some dried fruits. Roasted smooth notes of coffee, dark chocolate and pumpernickel.
The taste smooth with initial notes of plums, charcoal and a hint of olives. Light to medium body. The dry aftertaste brings passing fruits (red apples, prunes, figs) and passing alcohol. Charcoal, dry liquorice and a hint of almonds in the long finish.
The carbonation is smooth yet fresh with lots of midsized long-lived bubbles. The liquid is quite dry.
An uncomplicated and dry porter.
