A- Typical almost amber colour. Quite decent carbonation with a miniscule head and no lacing. Not too bad.
S- Faint fruity smell. Grapefruit and citrus. Certainly not robust but it actually smells pretty good.
T- Terribly misleading aroma. The palate is quite light and thin. It's just a slight sweetness followed by extremely faint hops. Unfortunately, POR lurks on the back.. Minus points of that.
M- Light, but pleasantly so. Carbonation level is good and adds some kick.
O- Malt Shovel Brewery were clearly going for refreshment over taste here. That said, it's not entirely a flat affair, this beer does have it's good points. I'd be lying if I said this wasn't altogether underwhelming, though.

Look: Light Orange slightly hazy, good 2cm bubbly white head. Looks very similar to a Coopers Pale Ale. Slightly hazy, but no yeast floating in the beer from the secondary fermentation like you'd expect with a CPA.
Smell: Sour bitterness from the hops, I feel like they've got the classic Aussie Pride of Ringwood going in here amongst others. biscuit pale malt sweetness. Citrusy on the nose as well, lemon, lime. Smells a little like a Coopers Pale Ale.
Taste: Tropical and citrus fruitiness. Light biscuit malt, Nice mellow bitterness at the end, with a slightly drying finish. Nothing overly complicated. It's similar to CPA.
Feel: Less Carbonation that a CPA - I'd say low to medium. For 4.2% ABV it's not as thin and watery as some beer around that mark, but certainly not thick.
Overall: They say imitation is the highest form of flattery. James Squire and the Malt Shovel Brewery are clearly going for a competitor to the tried, true and tested Coopers Pale Ale. It doesn't meet those heights, but it's an easy drinking Aussie Pale Ale that does the job in the summer months. It's refreshing when cold, and does the job. Not James Squire's best beer, but not a bad beer.

Can, best before 02/05/19.
Pours a hazy orange with lots of foam, long lasting foam, and spotty lacing.
Smells light but I get some citrus, mostly lemon like, and some toasted malt.
The taste is easier to make out. Citrus with a hint of tropical fruit, earthy malt that stays away from being sweet..could be biscuit. Low low level of bitterness.
Good mouthfeel. Good Pale Ale, especially considering the low level of alcohol.

Rating on the Aussie scale here, so this beer is absolute trash, but here south of the equator, id call it better than average. It has some nice hop flavor without overwhelming bitterness or malt; something few brewers in Australia can accomplish. so while its bad, id buy another can

Copper and slightly cloudy with lots of soda like carbonation, and a half finger of white head.
Skunk, malt, and hard water.
Tastes of skunk and hard water, some malt, savoury and a hint of bitterness.
Light body, lots of carbonation.
Found at Liquorland in Australind, WA, drinking in Ingaloo, Perth, Aug 21, 17. Light bodied, refreshing, shame about the skunk.
