Being in the shadow of BrewDog, I wasn't expecting much., But pleasantly surprised. I'll take this homey vibe over the forced one at BrewDog. Main drag in a small town, mostly locals, quiet, quaint, comfortable . Great service, friendly. Small tap list, but varied. Small patio with fire pits. Love it.

A historic building in a cool little part of town. Honestly
a real hidden gem with a nicely stripped down old time
feel in a town that is a throw back in time much like where I
grew up in my teenage years. Decent selection with styles
for most tastes and an excellent bartender. Smaller than some
breweries, their ashcat amber is excellent and worthy of a pint or
two. The stouts and saisons are solid and hoppy options are
decent as well from my rather fogged memory.

I love towns like this, and breweries like this are rare.
Small, local, and just plain cool with discounts to the
vets which is also a welcome sight.

Worth checking out.

Cheers

During a mini pub crawl in the southeast suburban Columbus area we stopped here to try their beers. The brewery is located in the historic section of town in an old, 1-story brick building that formerly had some sort of utility or industrial life. The interior walls are exposed brick, and with the open wood framing of the mezzanine and roof structure helps give nice vibe to the place. The brewing equipment is located at one end of the taproom.

Beer is ordered at the bar (only 6-8 stools). We chose a sampler flight of all 5 of the beers that were available. (There are only 6 taps.) Each was brewed very well to style, and all of them exceeded the typical characteristics for its respective beer type. We gave an overall grade of a B-minus to the beers, and the one that stood out a bit to us was the Coal's Cousin Stout, which may have been brewed with coffee, but I didn't get a chance to ask. None were placed in an exceptional category, but all were consistently very good.

No food is served here, although packaged snacks are available. However, there was a food truck there at the time of our visit, so a larger food choice is available per the food trucks' schedule. Given the quality of the beer that we experienced, this pub is worthy of a visit.

A really nice taproom, just outside of Columbus. You feel worlds away out on their patio. They beers are all decent, nothing spectacular, but well made. The service was good and you can add this to several other breweries on a south of Columbus brewery tour.
