Overall, a disappointing beer. It was very light. A bit bitter to drink, way too carbonated (overpowering). The foam head stuck around for a long time. Some folks may like it, but it wasn't my kind of beer. No-go for me in the future.

On draft at Amada in Philly. Nice flavor for a standard lager. This is what American lagers should taste like. Smooth and refreshing with a sweet orange note in the finish. Goes well with Tapas or any food. Overall very impressed with this Spanish lager.

I just tried a couple of fresh pints in Barcelona, where it is brewed. Very good, light, just the right amount of flavor. Based on other reviews it may not age/transport well to the US but in Barcelona don't hesitate to try it.

Served cold from 660ml brown bottle into straight pilsner mug.

L) Pale golden colour, clear, very bubbly, fluffy white head.

S) A bit of a weird metallic smell. Bits of lagery malt.

T) Pretty weak flavour, no real bitterness, a bit of a weird herbal flavour right in the back.

F) Light and quite fizzy. No skanky aftertastes, very drinkable.

O) Sub-par lager, if you want something cheap and cheerful go for Stella instead.

I like the red bottle, looks cool...

Brewed from barley and rice.

Look is pale lagerish and nothing special, best to drink from bottle :)

Aroma is fresh and hoppy.

You can definitely taste the rice. Works well actually. Though like most lagers and pilsners, I will probably be bored before the end of the glass!

And yes, I am bored.

Unique with the rice taste, though I much prefer the Madrid competitor, Mahou. However, I would enjoy this on a steaming hot day watching girls walk past in Barcelona. Though as an actual beer, it's only a little above lowly beers like Carlsberg.

It has a crisp taste, though not enough happening to really be unique, except the ricey taste that gives it a refreshing crispness

Like a watery lager. Not awful, and I will drink what I bought, but I won't be buying it again. Reminds me of my fav lagers, but doesn't quite make it.

A fairly aggressive pour from a tall can nets a meagre one finger of bubbly white head. Colour is gold, with lots of visible carbonation. Head retention is weak, and only a bit of lacing.

Smells like an American adjunct lager, like there's either rice or corn here. A bit of apple skin, some biscuit/cracker and a light herbal twang. Taste echoes: a bit oily, slight corny sweetness, but some apple skin, sweetness, but there is some nice biscuit/malt character and a bit of a hoppiness. Raw grain. Aggressive, cola-like carbonation and surprisingly heavy body.

As far as adjunct lagers go, I actually think it's pretty nice--on the heavy side, given it's cut with rice AND corn, but drinkable, and there's at least a bit of a hop presence here. Having said that, it's not worth import prices, and it's not really "good" by any metric I can think of.

$ 7.19/six pack ($ 0.107/oz) at Spec’s San Antonio, TX
11.2 oz bottle dated 09/16 at 50 degrees into hand washed and dried shaker
Aroma – wet grain and a little dimethylsulfide
Head average (Four cm, semi-aggressive pour), off white, creamy, diminishing to irregular five to ten mm ring and creamy layer
Lacing – good. Partial rings of tiny to small bubbles
Body light yellow, clear
Flavor slightly bitter and corny, like an AAL but less sweet; no malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate light to medium, watery, soft carbonation

Appearance 4, Aroma 3.25, Flavor 3.25, Palate 3.5, Overall 3.5
Aroma and flavor seem to vary within the six pack I drank. Some were actually good, some not so good. If I were forced to drink one fresh in Spain, I easily could.

Almost not foam in the pint shaker. Color is an amber-tinted yellow. Some spritz on the tongue but not enough carbonation to be very sudsy. Some flabby malt sensation with a little grainy taste. Hops seem virtually absent in aroma or flavor.

I think the word "forgettable" is the correct adjective. If only is was even a slightly crisp lager. No worse than many others in this category, I suppose. On tap at Social Tap overlooking the ballpark in downtown San Diego.

had this at a Spanish/Portuguese restaurant because it was the only beer on their list i never had (they had a very tame list, unfortunately).

not horrible but on par with Stelle/Heineken/etc. did not have that funky lager taste, more of a budweiser kind of cheap beer.

Another ultra clean though flavorful enough adjunct for those nights when you want a palate washer.

No long review, but rating purely to style, this one is up there with the greats

Bright pale yellow color with a small cloud of fat bubbles. Faint frothy white 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with faint lacing. Flavors of skunk, roasted sweet grains, corn and syrup. Slick medium body with excessive prickly carbonation. Light finish with a short lingering thick syrupy feel, roasted malts, and faint noble hops. Overall this is crap. Watery flavors, too much sugar and low quality ingredients. Not fresh and flat. Boozy smell and filled with bad corn. The mouthfeel is slightly better than the average adjunct.

Six pack from Publix for the hotel room while in Hollywood for a deposition. Very crisp, refreshing Euro-lager that goes down quick and easy. Highly recommended for session drinking if it were a little cheaper.

Poured into a pint glass, light straw color thin head that remained until the end.
I get the fruity back note. It is smooth and crisp reminiscent of an American light beer.
Nice, but not my go to beer.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for an import but doesn't want a heavy beer

Looks like a fairly standard euro lager, with straw colour and little head. Scent is barely present, though what is there brings up faint barley. Taste is very pleasant, bringing up an indescribable berry taste almost. Very crisp finish, with some of the fruitiness sticking around after. This is a very enjoyable lager, I don't think it deserves the rating it gets here.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Pooler, GA
This beer has the traditional BMC look of pale straw color with a medium white head. The aroma is mostly grain and malt (not horrible). The flavor is grass and hops, the palate is semi-dry and this beer overall is not horrible but forgettable.

Poured from 330cl bottle into pilsner glass.

Appearance: pours a 2" frothy white head that drops rapidly with scant lacing. Color is clear light gold with a small amount of particles in suspension. Moderate streaming carbonation.
Aroma: mild but pleasant aroma of white bread, a bit of fruity and floral hops.
Mouthfeel: light and fairly crisp with a dry finish.
Flavor: lightly toasted barley malt, some ripe fruit, and floral hops.
Overall: enjoyable and easy drinking. No obvious flaws.

This fine lager is snubbed by reviewers. It's fine!
Served on draft at Blue Boar Bar at Conrad St James London.
e.g. (perhaps sucks in the imported bottle...)

A: Tight foaming, good retention, filtered clarity with a yellow straw color.

S: Faint. Sugary cereal w a bit of hops. Weak.

T: Typical Euro-lager with some maltiness and corn, and then just enough hops are bitter and a clean refreshing finish.

F: Smooth as any pale lager could be. Dry.

OK only.

Poured into a Stella Artois chalice.

Look: Pale straw colored body with a white head that recedes to a wisp. Pretty nice random foamy lacing.

Aroma: Faint malts and grains, slightly sweet.

Taste: Non-distinct malts, a little papery on the taste. Finishes with bittering hops, somewhat of a grassy note.

Mouthfeel: Medium to light, a bit creamy.

Overall: Forgettable, but not awful. Not worth the price point.

Nice and clear, very pale incredibly fizzy.
Not much aroma at all, little bready maybe a little corn.
Taste again bit bready as expected bit too aggressively carbonated.
When options are incredibly limited Stella 4%, Budweiser and keg Bombardier it's not too bad in other situation I would stay clear.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a one finger head of fizzy foam that fades very fast. Upon fading it leaves a very light level of fizzy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer is a mix of a grainy, bready and slightly hay-like smells. Along with these aromas comes some smells of a light fruitiness and a little bit of a grassy smell.

Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter and fruitier taste with a little breadiness backing up the sweet. .The sweet is mainly of a caramel taste with the fruit being of a more apple and apricot flavor. As the taste advances some light earthy and herbal flavors come to the tongue and in the end, leave a rather crisp but fruity and sweeter flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on thinner side with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the crisp nature, the thinner body is quite nice, although for the lager style a little more carbonation may have made it slightly more refreshing. Overall the feel was decent.

Overall – Crisp and refreshing, but nothing all that extraordinary here. A decent summer party brew.

Format: a standard light brown 330mL bottle with a standard macro label.

Appearance: pours out a light straw yellow with a pretty poor white head that disappears pretty much immediately. No lacing.

Aroma: a light aroma of some sweet malts and a touch of citrus. Not bad, but very faint.

Taste: once again those light sweet malts with a touch of grain and metallic carbonation. Not brilliant.

Aftertaste: the dull off-metal flavour lingers, the malt does not. No hop bittterness either.

Mouth feel: very light in body with a moderate carbonation. Could use a lot more carbonation to carry more flavour. Might make it a bit more refreshing also.

Overall: a pretty ordinary and cheap-tasting lager , particularly for AU$50 a case. No way - there are much better lagers for less.

I'm not a fan of the romance beer, I mean french, spanish, italian. This lager is not a typical european lager. It's something strange. It's not bad, and it's not good. It's average beer.
