This is the third best beer I had while in Barcelona. It has a very classy looking label, sort of Michelob looking. Due to the label and being in a bottle, I had raised expectations. They were met.
This is a very solid helles style beer. Crisp, a little light on the hops. Not the best beer I ever had, but I had much worse while here.
Not a beer to say no to.

Barcelona brewed...drinking in Madrid.
Bubbly, looks refreshing with good head.
Aroma like cloves.
Barcelona has some unique and impressive beers, definitely.
This one has a nice bottle, though taste is a bit clovey, maybe with some nutmeg also. Still, it is unique and perfectly ok, just not a particularly pleasant flavor that makes me thirsty for more. However, it is a well-made beer with good feel and look.

Another great looking bottle brought back from barcelona by my girlfriend.
A- Dark straw with a cheap looking white foam on top.
S- From the bottle, I can already smell some nasty corny aromas. Poured into a pilsner-like ordinary water glass. Smells a bit fruity and a little milky. Watery berry shake? Corn alcohol in the back.
T-Extremely smooth flavor ending in a rougher grain bitterness. Almost a popcorn quality to it. Hint Of Caramel With An acidic finish. Not much aftertaste apart from some of the bready bitterness.
M- Very smooth with medium to low carbonation. Not very dry.
O- I think many macro drinkers would love this since the flavor is so smooth. You'd certainly feel fancy with the nice bottle and all.

330ml bottle. Footed Pilsner glass. Golden yellow color, crystal appearance. White, close, fairly well retention crown. Floral aromas, hints of biscuit malt & slightly sugary touch. Sweet & fruity flavor, notes of biscuit malt. Light body, lively carbonation. Smooth malty mouthfeel. Slightly bitterness in the middle lingers into the finish. Easy drinkability.

My father-in-law brought this back form a recent trip to spain. thanks Mike!
Pours crystal clear golden yellow with a small cap of fine white head. The head disappears quickly and leaves no lace.
Aroma isn't good. Corn, DMS, apple. bit of alcohol, more than I'd expect for 4.8%. hint of citrus. white bread and cracker. bit grassy and herbal.
Taste isn't much better. Bit of sweet caramel. Corn and DMS. Apple. Light alcohol. Cracker. A bit grassy. Medium-low bitterness level.
Mouthfeel is okay. Light body with medium-high carbonation is about average. Clingy unpleasant aftertaste.
Drinkability isn't great. It gets a little better once it's had some time to breath, but never approaches "good". pass.

The special seasonal release from Damm was in reality a big enough disappointment. we looked for it near Picasso's house in the Gothic City of Barcelona, only to pay too much for an estrella spin-off, if only slightly more bitter at the end.
I felt like tasting an Aguila Imperial. no more words for this one.

330 ml bottle from Riga, Latvia.
Pours pale golden with good head that slowly dissappears, leaves thin patchy lacing. Aroma is sweetish malt, bits of vegetables, hints of toasted in the background, it becomes more stronger after a while, but, overall, it is not too pleasant.
Taste is malty, some bitterness with metallic notes, also a light touch of sourness that make slightly more refreshing, aftertaste is sweetish and a bit cloying. Mouthfeel is light with average carbonation.
Overall, an average beer, could be quite enjoyable in hot summer day, but I would not call it premium.

Brown glass bottle with classic pressure cap served into Trappist Westvleteren goblet in Belfort, France. Reviewed live.
A: No head at all. Pathetic. Colour is a clear yellow.
Sm: Heavily malted barley and light cream. That's it. The aroma is moderately strong.
T: Malted barley with a light cream climax. It's pleasant and refreshing, but also simple and boring. It's certainly balanced; it's the build that's problematic.
Mf: Smooth and wet, but too thick. Partially complementary of the flavours in the body, but not tailored to them.
Dr: I've had many beers from this brewery, and this is not one of their best. It drinks easy and pairs well with food, but isn't a quality beer by any means. Try it but don't expect much, even if you're a hardcore fan of the style.
