On tap at Meridian Pint. DDH with Citra and El Dorado.

Appearance: Quite pretty. Hazy pale orange with a fluffy white head. Good retention and lacing.

Aroma: Mango hits the nose immediately. Definite pineapple as well with sweet orange citrus. Maybe hints of watermelon and peach? El Dorado is a crazy hop. Not much in the way of pine or dank. Immensely juicy.

Taste: Follows the aroma pretty closely. Impressively dry finish for the style. Sweetness holds up the hop flavors but doesn't dominate. Mango and pineapple prominent again with an underlying orange juice quality. Stonefruit. Hints of white sugar. A touch more resiny on the palate, but still a background flavor.

Feel: Medium bodied for the style and ABV. Silky but not at the expense of drinkability. Dries out nicely on the finish.

Overall: Super well done. Would definitely define as New England Style, but has a dryness and drinkability that is eluding some examples.

1.5 month old can poured into a tulip glass.

Yellow-orange body, full haze but not turbid or thick. Full finger of soft, off-white head that drops to a surface film after the first few sips but laces and streaks impressively.

Aromas of bright natural orange juice and citrus rind up front, with strong notes of yeast, wildflowers, and damp grass. Little bit of dankness. Little bit of pine. Very fresh, green, and herbaceous. Perhaps a little subdued for a 7.5% IPA, but I really like what’s there.

Similar notes on the tongue but the balance and nuance isn’t quite there, largely because of a sharp yeastiness that peaks it’s head out at different points in each sip. Very juicy, pithy, and grassy, and there’s a solid balance of slight fruity sweetness and mild hoppy bitterness (wish there was a hair more of the former, given the aroma profile). But the astringent yeasty element is a negative distraction.

Light-medium bodied, very silky, and nicely carbonated. Not a particularly noteworthy mouthfeel but perfectly lovely.

16 oz can dated 9/17. This is the first canning run of this beer AFAIK

Hops: Citra, El Dorado

Two of my favorite hops together. This is a solid NE IPA, maybe comes across as too spicy from the yeast. Hops could shine a little more. Not a bad beer to find on the shelf. Probably not a repeat purchase for me.

After pouring from a growler, 2 fingers of dense white foam sits atop a very hazy, nearly opaque orange beer. Fat lacing. Smell and taste don't quite live up to the taste—both are a bit muted, but have tropical fruits, pine and earthy herbs in there. Feel is medium-light. Good beer, but I wish the smell and flavor lived up to the look.

Non-sustaining head; highly hazed. Pretty big tropical nose, decent bitterness included in taste; more of a juicy DIPA than full NE, based on feel.
