A clean, smooth, golden lager. Slightly malty beer. The Munich Helles was introduced in 1894 and set the "Gold" standard for lagers.

On draught at the brewery.
Straw, slightly opaque, light lacing.
Lightly toasted malt, faint leather notes.
A bit of an off flavor, oxygenated after fermentation.
I’ll have to try this one again, perhaps from a to-go bottle might be from a different batch.
Edit: The bottles also have the off flavor.
