On tap at the brewery
A-this is one murky brew. Looks like OJ with a white head that quickly recedes
S-citra dude. Guava, passionfruit. Dank.
T-lots of the same. Big tropical fruits with a sturdy, clean malt body
M-moderate carbonation and body. No booziness. Clean finish with low bitterness.
O-a big ole 8.2% citra dipa. On par with a heavy hitter like King Sue. A definite hole in one.

32oz crowler. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with a large head of bubbly foam. It smelled of pineapple, orange peel, grapefruit and mango. Sweet tropical fruit taste with a sharp bitterness and toasted caramel finish.

Super hazy burnt orange juice color.

All the citra hops. Juicy and tropical. Orange, pineapple, mango juice. Soft with very little bitterness. Drinks more like and IPA and hides abv well.

Another great dipa from BT. Way above raining 3s. Smoother and way more rounded out.

Large Citra aroma and taste. Very soft and creamy with a little booziness. Excellent Citra-based Northeast Double IPA. Barrel Theory has really excelled at this sub style.

Thanks to Jeff for this gem. 750ml crowler into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.

Pours hazy. Great head though. Nose is grapefruit, tree sap, pine resin and papaya. Aroma is like the brown sugary type of IPA that I usually don't like but with a juicy tropical fruit bouquet mixed in. Solid. Beer opens citrus, pine, tree sap and brown sugar. No hop bitterness to speak of. Some dried leaves in the back with a healthy dose of papaya and resin at the finish. I don't want to like this because of aspects of the flavor profile... but its really really good. Body is medium with moderate to low carbonation. Super smooth on the palate and full, soft and clean going down. Quenching with a clean finish. Excellent.

Not the best smelling or looking but this beer is excellent where it matters.

Looks like a glass of orange juice with an off-white head. Smells like a glass of orange juice made with the dankest oranges ever grown, and a smidge of pineapple juice added.

The dank orange flavors dominate the taste, and there’s the slightest bit of cracker malt flavor, but literally zero alcohol presence in an 8.2% ABV beer. An incredibly well-executed DIPA, IMHO. Barrel Theory is the real deal.

Poured from a 750 ml flip top bottle into a chalice. Bottled on 9/12/2017.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of off white head with decent retention.

Smell: A very juicy and dank hop driven aroma with a scent of citrus and pine. Big juicy citrus hop scent of orange, grapefruit, mango, and lemon along with pineapple. Earthy hop scent of pine resin and cannabis. Malt hints of grains and cracker with yeast. A really good juicy aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and earthy hop driven taste with big notes of citrus along with pine. Big juicy taste of citra hops with notes of orange peel, grapefruit, mango, and pineapple. Some notes of piney hops. Background malt notes of cracker and grains along with yeast. A really good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very juicy and smooth.

Overall: Another great IPA from Barrel Theory. Huge citrus flavor with moderate bitterness.
