Got a couple of cans directly from the Pie Eyed prior to their soft opening. Was a bit reluctant as have never been a big fan of Rye Beer. Throw the name "Dirty" into the mix and my palate attitude turned sour (that's a plus with Rye Beer). Nice clingy lacing with ample retention. The malted Rye came to the fore overshadowing any semblance of barley malts. Almost a citrusy/sour taste, but this added to the goodness and drinkability. The hop/rye combination seemed appropriate and added to the nice dry finish. If this is your genre, then Dirty Bird is well above average and very sessionable.
