This one pours a light golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like floral and grassy hops, a touch of malt sweetness, and lemon.

This is solid and well done, but not quite punchy enough. I want some crisp bitterness out of a pilsner, and I don't really get that here. The floral hop kick is nice, though. The malt backbone is just a touch too sweet. There's a good pilsner in here, it's just a little muted.

This is light bodied, clean, and very drinkable, but not quite crisp enough on the back end.

I've liked other West Kill beers more than this one. Not everyone can crank out a dank pilsner.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that quickly died down, leaving some specks of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of floral and grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of floral and grassy hops along with notes of pilsener malts. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer was easy to drink and I found it to be a good American representation fo a Czech beer style.

If I could rate it above 5, I would. Pilsner is not my first choice in style, but this beer is undeniably delicious. Light and sessionable with a bright and tasty minerality that goes well with the “haybarn” hops element. Some good water up in West Kill!

Golden straw pale and slightly hazy appearance. Wet grass and wheat on the nose. Taste is dry and slightly sour on the front end. Feel is thicker than your typical Pilsner. Medium body. A good sessionable beer, but not outstanding.
