Notes:
We took our base Henna, Imperial Stout and aged in a mix of Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill barrels for 10 months. We then aged it on shredded coconut that was toasted in house to create further complexity with a dose of cinnamon to accentuate the toasted flavors of the coconut and spicy elements brought on by the barrel with a touch of cocoa nibs to accentuate the chocolate flavors from the malted grains used.
Almost a year after winning best in show and best in it’s category at FoBAB 2017, we are, for the first time, releasing this beer in bottles and we’re extremely excited to share it with you.

10/20/18 (Villa Park): $6 5 oz. snifter poured into snifter at More Brewing. Pitch black pour, light white tan ring. Whiskey aroma with strong coconut scent. Nicely blended pour, silky smooth whiskey, coconut nice, not as strong taste as aroma would lead, slight hint of cinnamon. Blend mixes excellently. Very smooth creamy mouth feel, whiskey heat felt after several sips. Very nice. Flavors widen and grow stronger as pour warms. Overall excellent pour.

Draft at More. Relatively thick and black, but not as thick as some of the previous Henna versions. Smells amazing, all of the adjuncts come through really nicely. I could smell this all day. Taste is great too, every Henna I've had does a great job of bringing all of the adjuncts in the flavor, and this one does too. Feel is a little thinner and less satisfying than some of the previous Hennas I've had. Doesn't really coat your mouth as much, and it's a little bit harsher than Swirl. I don't think I like this as much as the Swirl, even though I like the adjunct flavor better. Still great beer though.

Drank at FOBAB
L: Jet black with little to no head.
S: Sweet chocolate fudge, cinnamon, coconut.
T: Similar to the smell, huge chocolate up front, coconut and cinnamon finish.
F: Thick and chewy, reminds me of the body from a BA Dark Lord.
O: This beer is the epitome of a "Pastry Stout". It's like drinking a dessert. If this beer is this strong after such a short time in barrels (rumors are 3-4 months) then I cannot wait for the final product in bottles.

Had on tap. Black viscous body with slight tan foam that fads. Lusciously delicious, with layers of sweet coconut, caramel, cinnamon, and chocolate melding perfectly with the bourbon and malt flavors. Sweet but well balanced with the barrel and cinnamon. Can't wait to try more of their craft.
