one of those highly flavored new school adjunct imperial stouts, a space i havent necessarily loved, but this is one of the good ones, the really good ones, high attention to detail, very authentic with the added flavors, and barrel aged stout not losing its identity, a massive beer, but not overly alcoholic or sugary surprisingly, and even though its palate coating and rich and heavy as they come, its also rather refined, not another kitchen sink beer thats enormous just for the sake of it, so respect for showing a little more here, no pun intended! rather viscous, black in the glass, and with only a short little head on it, mocha colored, lasting but not frothy and creamy or anything. the aroma of this is awesome, warming even soothing, coconut, pecans, vanilla, and cocoa in this, all can be appreciated. the coconut seems toasted, at least with all this roasted barley it does, and i get coffee and chocolate too, good espresso, crema and all, oily like that even, crazy that there is no coffee in here. the pecans are subtle but blend in well with the middle malt layers, and the whiskey treatment on this is cool, char forward, woody, highlighting vanilla, brown sugar, and maple notes, strong in a good way, wintery and sexy. the flavor has pretty good balance between the added ingredients, maybe more pecan could come out, but its not nothing, and i get more and more of it as this warms up. coconut is awesome, natural, and bold, again i get coffee, some burnt low end from the barrels and all the dark grain, milk chocolate as well as dark to me, a cooked sugar richness but its not diabetic, and quite a heavy whiskey influence, not too much vanilla through it either, doesnt seem forced. all the body in the world, this stays with me awhile, but its pleasant and honest the whole way. this is real good, proof these can be done and done big without being obnoxious. nice!

Another nice ba stout from more. This is a coconut bomb. Nice vanilla and fudge flavors as well. Great warming bourbon notes. Well done.
