This would make a great beer to threaten someone with, or to get back at them (simply offer them one). Poured from a 500 ml can, freshness date on the bottom. It looks harmless enough, nice clear golden body, good head that forms a cap and some decent lacing. Smells like cotton candy however. Flavour is indescribably bad, really, I lack the vocabulary to even begin, as I've never had anything quite this awful, no sounding board to compare it to. I'm honestly going to have to pour this one out, I feel dirty on the inside already. Beware of Bavaria 8.6, consider yourself warned.

Wow. This is not something you'll ever desire after having tried it. The European solution to getting drunk quickly and cheaply. I can't believe I'm dignifying it with a review, but here goes:

This beer pours a dark golden color, with a foamy white head that has average retention. Carbonation is above average, and for the record...I may be the first person to pour this into a glass.

Smell is of rotten grain, some cooked veggies and booze.

This tastes pretty bad. It's a lot like Old English 800, with more of a sweet malt feel. It's slimy on the tounge, and it reeks of alcohol. Think of what a bum's breath smells like, and you'll have the perfect idea of this beer.

Drinkable? Hell no! Usually a headache arrives after sleeping your beer off. This thing gives an instant headache, halfway through. If you don't like yourself, this is your beer.

Sampled 500ml can, purchased at the Beer Store. Found in every TBS and LCBO location, your choice of can or bottle - part of the pride of the 'Onterrible' beer market. A product who's only place in the world lies with those who's lives I find very sad... very sad.
Or who's tastes I find very strange...very strange.

Pours a tainted yellow, head forms on swirl only. A chemical like strength to the aroma. Toxic qualities. Bad sign of things to come. Taste initially off-putting but finishes on a disastrous, just plain vulgar flavour. I couldn't detect malt, nor hops, nor yeast - even the water was overshadowed by this rough, foul taste. And despite such foul taste, there was ironically a lack of flavour. It didn't taste like beer - You'd have to taste for yourself. And the alcohol wasn't all that shy what so ever either! It's in rare cases that I would break out the word "rank" but this is one such case...

Pardon me for not being more constructive, but this is one those special cases where not much can really be said. A lost cause.
Suffice to believe me, that with very good reason, this was one of the worst beers I've sampled in my time.
Bavaria 8.6 is just plain raunchy and vulgar.

Blond in color with a frothy white head that lasts several minutes before breaking. 2.25

Smell is sweet malts, caramel and breads along with a tin can smell. 1.75

Taste is remarkably sweet given the style. The sweet malts overpower just about anything else. 1.25

Feel is lightish and the carbonation is medium. The metallic smell from earlier is now an unfavorable aftertaste. 1.25

Another giant cup of nope. I don't know how people can drink this beer. Sweet malty mess with a metal aftertaste? No thanks. 1.25

Strong, but a lousy example from Holland. This brew's flavor is typical of a cheap US malt liquor.

This heavy and boozy beverage delivers a 8.0% Abv in your face. A lot on the sweet side, this one presents some grainy notes but never shows any hop presence

Picked up a 500 ml can of this at a corner market in the 15e district of Paris. I think it was under 2 euro per can.

The can says 'Bavaria 8 6' 'Special Blond Beer' and notes that one can of this is equivalent to 3.1 standard drinks.

I used to think Olde English was horrible swill in the malt liquor / fortified beer segment, but this stuff may be even worse, although it's been a long long time since I've had OE.

This stuff is absolutely horrid. It's nasty nasty nasty. Really foul tasting and tough to dirink, being both a bit treacly sweet and chemical tasting at the same time.

I guess if you're trying to get hammered the high alcohol content and low price are a plus, but if you're looking for any sort of tasteful drinking experience stay away from this Dutch bilge water.

Worst beer I've had in years.

Pours a crystal clear golden color with a decent amount of bubbly white head that sticks around for a while. Smells like an empty glass. Tastes fairly sweet, but not malty. Hard to describe, nondescript sweetness, I guess. No hop flavor to speak of. There is some alcohol burn there, but that's to be expected. Mouthfeel is watery and... that's about it. I swear, budweiser has more flavor than this beer. There's nothing to it at all. Overall, it's drinkable, because there's no flavor to object to. I prefer my beer to taste like beer, though. This seems to be for pretentious college kids that want to get hammered fast.

Amber brown appearance with minimal head. Smell is sweet and grainy, booze is apparent.

Taste is overwhelmingly sweet, alcoholic and grainy. Body is thick and syrupy with low carbonation. Aftertaste is spicy with a lingering sweetness.

Overall, this is a cheap and powerful beer for those who are embarrassed with buying malt liquor. When it comes to strong beer, it's a little to thick and sweet for my taste.

Appearance: very clear with a rich golden colour. The head is white, large and frothy but it seldom persists (nice lacing though).
Aroma: alcoholic, grainy and oversweet.
Taste: confirms the aroma. Very sweet, almost cloying, alcoholic and very, very little hops.
Mouthfeel: mellow, fair carbonation, very high alcoholic strength (7.9% ABV) and firm body.
Finish: lingering alcoholic aftertaste.

Overall: too sweet for my taste. No hops to help balance it. Probably my last one.

Bright golden color with a moderate amount of activity. Faint foamy white 2 finger, lasting around 5 minutes, with faint lacing. Flavors of sweet grains, roasted corn, noble spices, faint skunk and butter. Light body with a faint finish of syrup and grassy hops. Overall very poorly crafted. Bland, boozy, flat, blah. Feels terribly adjunct.

Another example of a mass-produced strong lager. It's a golden-yellow colored brew, with a puffy white head. Clear and simple in appearance. Not much of an aroma. A little grain and a lot of alcohol. Almost no hop aroma, and no real malt smell. The taste is pretty unimpressive. Lots of sweetness up front, followed by a serious harshness. A lot of warming and rough alcohol is the center of the experience with this beer. Between that and the sweetness, which occurs without any real flavor, this beer is a real disappointment.

Note: Actually 7.9% ABV. Not sure where they got the 8.6 from.

Appearance - 3.5
Poured a loosish two fingers of white head over a bright, clear golden body.

Smell - 2.5
The higher alcohol creates some sweet, fruity esters, but this aside it is pretty much typical euro lager; sweetish pale malt, metal, little hops,

Taste - 1.5
Again, the esters create a light fruitiness, which to be honest, feels a bit out of place in a pale lager. Very little body to back up the high alcohol (which at 7.9% is more noticeable than in Belgian ales of over 10%). Thin, sweetish malt, dryish but weak hop bitterness in the finish.

Mouthfeel - 2.5
Feels quite heavy in the mouth, alcohol is warming, low to moderate carbonation.

Drinkability - 1.5
It doesn't taste too bad, but the high alcohol and lack of interesting flavours make this an unenjoyable sipper.

OVERALL - 2.2
This is clearly the worst beer I have had in quite some time. The only point I can see to this beer is to get lager louts smashed.
