L: Minimal carbonation and a weak head that disappears quickly.

S: nothing notable

T: watered down, bitter metallic flavour. Lingering bitter aftertaste.

F: nothing of note.

O: had this once before and bought it again for review purposes. Will not be purchasing again. There are better cheap brews to be had.

As everybody should know by now, I typically only but brews like this as pallet washer. However, I haven't been much on the craft game lately due to job changes and a few other unexpected life problems. But my local shop had twelve packs of this stuff on sale for $6.99 and I'm known to grab a deal when I see it. Green bottle...oh boy

Look is exactly what your expect though unbelievably clean. I've never seen a beer that looks so inviting in this category. Crystal clear with a small though sticky head that eventually leaves a surprisingly nice amount of lace. Carbonation is low.

Scent is not skunky in the least and I'd like to put a ton of emphasis on that. Clean, grains are small with the grass high and a noticeable hop level.

And the taste. The main event of any beer. Super clean with a nice lemongrass aspect meeting in the middle with a kiss of clean hops. Touches of corn flakes, no skunk and just a touch of bitterness.

Feel is moderate bodied with a low level of carbonation. Taste sticks around and is a bit sticky surprisingly out of this style. Hops amp up and the bitterness amps up a bit as it sticks around the mouth. Grassy. No skunk here either.

Overall I can't believe I got a twelve of this for $7. This is probably the cleanest, least offensive lager I've ever had in my life and I simply do not understand the low ratings on this. Even better than the weihenstephaner Munich helles in my opinion. Would make a fantastic pallet washer, and a perfect easy drinker on a Saturday night. This goes above and beyond the call of duty for the style. A real winner here. Perfectly crisp, no off flavors whatsoever. Try this.

A most excellent lager, purchased for a reasonable price here in Australia. It came halfway across the world, and tastes better and costs less than any of the local lagers.

But how can this be? Hollandia is brewed by the Bavaria breweries, and back when I lived in Holland that was always a last resort type of beer: utterly unremarkable, boring, cheap. But this is not what they brew for export to Australia! It's a most delicious beer here: hoppy and slightly yeasty fragrance when opened, very well balanced flavour that lingers enticingly in the mouth, ready for the next sip. A hearty flavour, not like the yellow soda water type I tasted in the past in a different part of the world.

So we see a theme here in the reviews: raving Australian ones and ho-hummy Europeans. Due to the beer being different I reckon. Alcohol content is 4.75% here. Had seen it in the stores before and always walked past due to low expectations, but am very glad I finally gave it a another go. Yay, good beer!

What a superb lager beer, so light, with a nice amount of Hop's flavour, we have just sunk a 6 pack of 330Ml stubbies, so crisp clean to drink when fully chilled. I was introduced to it by a yachty down when l was fishing down in a local river, no fish but 2 superb chilled stubbies. Had the missus go by the local drive through and pick up a carton straight away, by the time l had arrived how, she was into her first,- just. sip sip sip , she looked at me holding a empty bottle and said "where did that go", ready for another. Normally she drinks 1 -2 beers a year, guess that's about to change. So head out and do yourself a favor, ask for Hollandia Premium lager beer. Our Hollandia beers come in small bottles, not cans, and the Alc volume is 4.7%

From the 12 oz bottle in a pint glass. Standard nice lager with a clear
light yellow color with a moderate head of white foam that settles to a
thick ring and thin layer with subtle lacing. Nose of clean sweet malts
and standard grain note with lager influences. Flavors follow the nose
with a light exception of hops that were undetectable in the nose; lightly
grassy and refreshing. Decent mouth feel, crisp, sweet, and clean with a touch
of hops. Nothing to dislike....great after mowing brew.

Cheers

Another Dutch pale lager, sure I'll bite, I'm easy. No disappointments here if expectations aren't too high. Just another mild, slightly malty/hoppy, clean commercial product that also appears to sell well.

I'll bite again if I can get it cheap.

This is a great Euro tasting, inexpensive lager. Don't understand all the low ratings here...? Stick with your cinnamon pumpkin nutmeg beer from TJs or Buttweiser, I guess. Gave all 5's b/c Food 4 Less stopped selling it and I miss it.

Bright pale straw with moderate activity. Slightly foamy white 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with faint legs. Flavors of skunk, sweet grains, acidic bitter noble spices, and vinegar. Very sharp, sour and almost vinous. Slick medium body with moderate carbonation. Medium strength finish from all that leafy and grassy bitterness, faint roasted malts, and a wet cardboard feel. Feels stale, highly acidic, and not fresh at all. Faint flavors, but a very bold finish for a lager. Overall awful quality craft.
