A: Poured a lightly clouded straw color with good carbonation leaving a nice white cap, some bubbles and light lacing present

S: Fresh citrus on the nose; some light orange peel, lemon zest with a dash of wheat

T: Taste is mainly light citrus upfront, smooth citrus meldoy at that, some wheat with a dash of spice. The finish is a nice citrus taste with light lemon, perhaps even a grapefruit.

M: Light bodied, well carbonated loads of taste and easy to drink

O: Probably one of my favorite E-9 beers so far. I need a clean palate to properly detail(previously had 2 x IPA, Belgo RIS) I can't believe I have not tried this after hundreds of visits. Will go back to this again.

Had a pint at the brewpub.
Appearance is hazy pale straw with thick white collar, light skim and medium lace.
Smell is unusual, fresh, moist earth, mildly mushroom like. With faint citrus, fairly mild overall but rather nice.
Taste is spicy, but otherwise very neutral other then a wheaty tang
Mouthfeel is light and soft, and a touch watery.
Overall, this wit is inoffensive, light and easy drinking, but nothing remarkable.

A big whiff of ammonia rolls off this beer like a warning beacon. This horribly misplaced smell is probably not coming from the beer itself but from the glass or, more likely, from the thick wedge of lemon spewing a harsh acidic fragrance into the air. Even without the lemon (which did nothing for the flavor either) this is not an especially distinguished Belgian cover. If this is supposed to be a wit (as the name suggests), there’s not a hint of orange peel or coriander to be found and the yeast elements don’t speak with a Belgian accent.

I did note some nice “Belgian” lace but not much else of worth. This ale is a pale yellow “corn lager” color and sports a thin, big-bubbled white head of short duration.

Unfortunately, this “Belgian White” stands out for its mediocrity in comparison to Engine House’s more inspired offerings. The tweaked, excessive bittering lacks appeal and that smell is just too much to take. Pass.

This beer pours a light golden color and is garnished with an orange. It has a light citrus smell from the orange but it compliments the sweet smell of this beer. The beer is a great blend of the citruses and a subtitle wheat flavor. It has a smooth crisp feel that fits its summery taste. This beer is great for afternoon or evening drinking in the E9 outdoor drinking area.
